Arabs are semites, so if one were anti-semitic (by definition) he would have to be hostile or prejudiced towards, not only Jews, but Arabs as well. If it cannot be demonstrated that one is hostile to BOTH parties, then he cannot be called anti-semitic and the charge is fallacious. If you want to call one, anti-Jewish, an important question needs to be asked. Why on earth would someone feel hostility or resentment towards Jews? Are the anti_judaists just a bunch of skinheads and nazis who woke up one day and said "hey, I'm gonna hate Jews," or are there legitimate reason(s)??

The term is commonly used to refer to those with a hatred for Jews, even though not all Semites are Jews. You're splitting hairs and you know it. But let's not argue over semantics. The Jews are a useful scapegoat and always have been. It worked a treat for the Third Reich - the German people in the 30s swallowed Hitler's bullshit, because their economy was in the toilet and they needed an easy target to blame for it. I have no idea what inadequacy in your psyche leads you to hate the Jews the way you do. I wasn't leaving it out, I was just quoting a very obvious example of scapegoating of the Jews. Jew persecution can mostly be laid at the door of Christians, specifically Roman Catholics. The Catholic church has been anti-Jew for centuries, and with the immense power it wielded in Europe in the middle ages, it was easy to murder, expel, and otherwise persecute Jews wherever they were found. Hitler's Catholicism goes a long way towards explaining his hatred of them (along with the Catholic church's complicity in anti-Jew atrocities). I don't have any particular axe to grind for or against the Jews. I'm not Jewish, and I personally know very few of them. There may be some truth in some of the articles you've posted; I imagine nobody knows for sure, regardless of what they may think they know. But as I've explained before, I don't like to see hatred directed at an entire race based on what some of them may or may not have done. That way lies hate crimes, genocide, ethnic cleansing. Naive I may be, but personally I'd much rather we all got along.

Well, you can trace that straight back to the Christian interpretation of Jews as "Christ-killers", and the persecution that stemmed from that. Assuming you were a Christian in the middle ages, deicide would be a pretty powerful argument in favour of hating Jews. They were murdered in the Crusades, blamed (and massacred) for the Black Death, ghettoised or expelled all over Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. All in all I think they've had a pretty raw deal at the hands of Christians and Catholic dogma. As for Christians being persecuted by Jews, no, I don't think the blame for this can be attached to the Jews and their counterparts. Christians have been persecuted against a great deal throughout the centuries, by the Romans, by Muslims, by Hindus, by the Chinese, in revolutionary France, in republican Spain, in the Soviet Union...the list goes on. I really can't see that the Jews were responsible for all of that. And as for so-called "persecution" of Christians by Jews in the USA now, I've covered that elsewhere, but once again I can't see how almost 80% of the population can be persecuted by some 2% or so.

I'd love to know where you get that figure of 60 million from, especially as the population of the Russian Empire was only about 180 million pre-revolution. If you really think that a country could put in place the mechanism to exterminate a full third of its population, and still function in any meaningful way afterwards, then you're just too bewildered for words. It is a historical fact that the majority of the Bolshevist officials in the Soviet Union (carrying out the torture and murders of millions) were Jews. That is not disputed. It is admitted.
