This is how I got the game to work. 1) First I uninstalled Alcohol 120% and PowerISO, both programs creates fake CD/DVD devices. The only "fake divice program" you should have installed is the latest version of Daemon Tools, (4.08). 2) I then ran YASU 1.04, (included in this release). 3) After that I monted the .mds file with DT and turned all emulators on. (Right click on icon -> Emulators). 4) The game will install just fine. 5) I then went into the Programs->Ubisoft->Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas->Binaries dir and ran R6Vegas_Game. The game started just fine. Note: Do not download any new patches, yet! Also, you should go to Start->All Programs->Ubisoft->Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas->Requirements Tool and check if your computer is able to run the game.

ok. i'll tell you how i did. First i downloaded the Torrent and i run it with µtorrent (also called utorrent) Then just simply wait until you've downloaded. AND DONT FORGET TO SEED! After that i downloaded daemon tools . Check google "Daemon tools download". And.. um. yea.. go into your Downloaded files folder and unzip ONE OF THE "unl-rb6v". You should get 2 files. Put them outside the "tool" folder. Now start daemon tools and you should see the icon appear bottom right on your screen. Right to the clock. Right click the daemon tool icon and press on "virtual cd/dvd" then "device 0" then mount image. Go to your downloaded files folder and press on the R6vegas.mdf (One of the files in the unzipped zip file) Read carefully and you'll understand. The game should start automaticly, and the Vegas menu come up. PRess on install and install! Ill tell you more when I have installed myself.

No need to hide drives or anything...I'm running the game mounted as it is. No additional tools are required. 1.) Mount the game with the latest version of Daemon Tools 2.) Install the game 3.) Follow Start-->Run-->Regedit 4.) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices 5.) Find the Daemon Tools drive letter where the game is mounted and change it to the following: Example: \DosDevices\J: will need to be changed to \DosDevices\J:R6VEGAS: (Note: "R6VEGAS" is the name of the mounted disc) 6.) Play the game. Hope this helps out.

For people who does not meet the requirements due their graphics cards: Theres some suggestion to make the game run on SM2, rather than SM3. Located the file (name).ini file next to the .exe for rainbow six vegas, Same folder. or use search engine Open .ini file with notepad. Look for: SimpleShader=False Change that to True. Save. Close. Restart. That should make your copy of rainbow six, forced to run on SM2. Some graphics lossed, but its still playable. *It worked for splinter cell: double agent, assuming its from the same company as vegas. It should be able to work.* Try at your own risk.

For anyone whos looking for a NOCD crack because an error comes up saying, Bad Disc, Don't use a backup disc, Conflict with other virtual CDroms do this. Make sure all emulation tools are on for daemon tools, Only mount the R6VEGAS.mdf located in unl-rb6v.rar and not the R6VEGAS.mds and make sure to run YASU.exe before launching the game. I couldn't get the game to run only because, I was having these problems because i was missing the mdf file. I didn't notice it in the unl-rbr6v.rar file, I attempted to use others mdf files or make one and that didnt work either ^^

More notes: Patch 1.01 Released, but I dont recommend to install it because it changes .exe file of the game and you cant run it... dont replace a new .exe file with the old (unpatched) file, because if you do this, you see "no ammo" in the game and cant pick up any weapon. Rather wait for a NOCD, or play unpatched game if possible. But the game itself is GREAT, perfect sounds, it is pretty realistic and very entertaining.

I recommend not updating it. Keep it at 1.00. Whenever I try to update it, it either detects my virtual drive (disabling all my physical drives) or encounters application .exe error. (Tried to reinstall and both auto or manual update, same thing I get the same error). Come play, Online-Lan Play. Download Hamachi, and join server. @Bryan, as far as I know you can't play online. You might want to try Hamachi, so you can play "A LOCAL GAME" with other players. You just need to find a good channel. I cannot explain any better, you should go check http://http://www.hamachi.cc/ for more info and downloads. And, there is a crack lying somewhere, not sure if its in this one.

I couldn't get the game to get around the emulation/no original disc problem until I went to Device Manager and disabled (not uninstalled) my cd/dvd rom drives, and POW!!! It worked. Try that one. GL

mentalboy11, Thats an error with the corrupted files in your installation. Yeah, I think it will fix itself after you uninstall and remove the folder manually. Let it auto download, manual patches sometimes can be corrupt.

I apologize Bobby66 and everyone for that last comment, That was ignorant of me. Theres not even an instance of the word 'simpleshader' to be found in the dir, but there is 6 of 'disableshadermodel3' spread amongst 4 .ini files. However, setting them all to 'true' still doesnt do the trick. If anyone hears anything else of a means to get this working, please post. I have the means to test out crazy ideas at my disposal. This -is- a beautiful game, and anyone with complaints against emulators, theres No-CD .exes to be found on gamecopyworld for those concerned with extending the lifespan of their install disk. And lastly, if anyone finds a means of disabling the 'auto-updater', I would appreciate it, as well as others here. Ive tried renaming the file, but this only results in the game halting on load.

Man why are ppl so lazy to google? There are no no-cd exes on gamecopyworld so google it man. If you actually bothered to go through the previous posts like I did you would realize that the HATRED no-dvd exe works perfect. GOOGLE don't be lazy this game is worth the 2 seconds to do so. To Iluvgillian, gamecopyworld has no-cd exes for versions 1.0 - 1.04. I'm just wondering whether the Hatred version could be updated to 1.04 or not? Can someone please reply me? I've got another version frm a friend which doesn't let me update any patch at all. Keeps bouncing a message "Error, installation could not retrieve version number" whenever i try patching. Whats this yasu tool garbage, why does it always take a couple months for someone to write a fixed exe that negates needing blacklisting tools? And why the hell can't people stick with 1 blacklisting software? Geezus, every friggin' post someone uses some other damn blacklisting app just to be different... friggin annoying

hey guys. if ur computer doesnt meet the requirements, dont even bother downloading it. i got the game to work but since my processor (core2 duo 6400) didnt meet the requirement. the game crashes.

I did like U said: 1. Unpack the release with WinRAR or equivalent 2. Mount with Daemon Tools (latest version) 3. Install Game 4. Run YASU tool incl. with this rls. 5. I can run this game but it crashed when I just saw the "Ubisoft" game title...so strange... Is anyone the same with me? I use DT4.08 and YASU 1.05 and update to v.1.02 already. Is it network problem? or any another situation? plz help me.. T.T

deadwood, 9200, is not supported. Thus IT WILL NOT RUN ferius, use hamachi in order to play online with others through lan games, if you want to play online you need a legit cd-key. The new no-dvd .exe for v1.00 is out for Vegas. Yasu is a tool for blacklisting, while many game developers is constantly trying to prevent it. Mysterious, no-dvd exe are not easy to make. They must overwrite the securom protection and only someone with mad c,c++ skills can overcome it.

you sir... need alcohol 120% !!!... after u finish downloading it, install it and then go to the virtual drives option, and create as many as u want ... when u have, simply go to my computer and right click on one of the virtual drives and click mount image, find the image(the smaller file of the 2) and mount it ... as easy as that cheers
