Hi It worked ! Apparently, my PS2 had certain lens problems. I burned the game again on Sony DVD-R using Imgburn (freeware) with 2x write speed. Enjoying this great game

Okay - here's the deal for less intelligent people. 1st of all - it's on PS2 (It's written in the title for god's sake) 2nd - It's NTSC because there's USA written in the title. (USA uses NTSC) 3rd - It's FullDvD - meaning that it takes all the space on the DvD when burned. 4th - No, you can't play burned games without mod-chip or boot-disk. 5th - Use some image burner to burn it to DvD on maximum speed of 4x. (CloneCd is my choice)

****TORRENT IS FINE - SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM FOUND**** Ummm...call it my mistake, or whatever . The data in the torrent is absolutely perfect, it's just that you need to write the ISO to a DVD-R (called 'DVD minus R'), and not to DVD+R ( 'DVD plus R' ). PlayStation 2 has always had problems with DVD+R's. Sony tried to fix this issue with the Slim-Line version of the console. So the slim PS2 ends up running the disc, but obviously fails miserably as far as performance goes! It's kind of funny, y'know...DVD+R was developed by Sony ! And make sure you use a GOOD QUALITY DVD-R media. Playstation 2 is VERY choosy as far as the media goes...it helps the PS2's laser lens use less re-reads and reduces skipping and all, thus increasing the life of the laser lens. contd...

contd from the previous post... I used a Verbatim DVD+RW at first, just to check if the downloaded game works. The full description of my experience is stated in the post above my last post . Doing all sorts of experiments with the downloaded ISO turned out to be totally useless, and i wasted FIVE DVDs. A bit of Googling inspired me to use DVD-Rs for PS2 backups. Enjoy this great game!

You guys who are constantly asking for help need to listen to the advice others are leaving for you. The game clearly states PS2 Def Jam Fight for NY USA FULLDVD and your still asking if its for windows or how come you can't run it in windows lol, do you also need help doing your jobs that you go to in the morning or how to get to a school you go to everyday. Use ****ing google and check out some forums write **** down so for next time you won't be asking the same questions over and over. If it was any other board and you were carrying on the way you are here the admin would have banned you already!!
