I had the same problem. Skullptura was helpful to include the original exe in the readme directory. All you need to do is replace the cracked exe with this original one, go download the latest original game patch. (patch 1.7 at the moment) And download a new fixed exe for version 1.7 Gamecopyworld is always helpful for such stuff.

Don't know if any one has had trouble with a "No CD/DVD" message when starting game, but if so, the Gamecopyworld English fix did the trick for me. Just replaced the 'kb' file that was extracted from Skullptura's .rar extraction (Which extracts fine by the way - just be patient), with the one from GCW, then the game started fine. Cheers all!

Is it just me or all the sound effects have had their pitch lowered? When i walk on water(well, when the horse walks on water), the sound is very strange. The same goes when walking on grass... Any idea anyone?

Do NOT patch the game and it will work 99% (Except for Mirabella crash, she is a **** wife anyways). imo, do NOT ever have children. Items you accumulate are better in the children slots. One of the top 3 games I've ever played! Can't wait for the expansion, due Q1 2009!

At First, the game works well. I don't see any problems but when I was on the second island which is questing Maribella for my char's first wife. When I'm going to tell him that James and the Kraken is dead, the game is shutting down maybe a cause of crashing the game. Anyone of you encountered this problem?

Umm, after installing the game using the setup.bat file (and directx updated) when I dpible click the kb.exe file nothing happens (I get the sandclock icon for loading then it goes away). I tried the gamecopyworld exe but still nothing happened, I tried to run in win98/me compat for both exe's but I got a windows error message and then nothing. I tried the original exe and it gave me an activation page but I haven't tried to bypass it. I'm going do download the demo in case this can't be fixed.

OK ALL GOOD Here are all the fixes with GOOD links!!! 1.6.4 Patch http://files.games.1c.ru/kingsbounty/developers_files/kbtl_v1.6.4_patch_installer.exe Mirabella Fix http://www.kbmods.nm.ru/eng/mod_16_eng_fix_mirabella.zip This is the 1.6b7 version. You REALLY need to patch it to the 1.6.4 version.If you dont you will miss items and scrolls and babies and it will start crashing ALOT about half way through!!!! 1. The patch is in russian so when you run it it will just be a bunch of ???. Wait until the ??? have a ! after them and then click it. 2. Once it is patched, unrar the Mirabella fix and put it in C:\King's bounty\data\mods (if its not there then make it) Thats It!! This is also a Great mod for the Menus. http://www.kbmods.nm.ru/eng/164/mod_164_eng_interface.zip (ver. 1.6.4 ONLY) All tested by me with this Skullptura DL and working great.

Hi, i got another problem with Mirabella. Of course i dld both: 1.6.4 Patch & Mirabella Fix but with or without the patch and with or without Fix (so i tested 4 opts) i can't get the password for the mines from mirabella. I play a mage, i did everything i could up to this point, including killing the Kraken, and when i talk to her i get options to ask for her hand or to end conversation. In the quest log i have "talk to mirabella to get the p/w". and then eneter the mines & find Lucky. Above her head is the green quest mark. I've been to the mines but the guard won't let me in. Anybody has same problem? What should i do? I tried to start a new game with another char and with cheats get up to this point just with the main quest, but i got stuck with the Turtle Boss - in the fight i couldn't move any unit nor attack the turtle :/ Pls any help would be appreciated.

@Maiero I had the same problem. You have to extract the "original.exe" file first, then run setup.bat. It will take around 20 minutes or so to run, but it works.

Forget about post 92.I solve the problem. The thing i was doing wrong was that i had extracted kings bounty at a folder with spaces and with more than 8 digits.

i extract the file... after finish.. i extract the exe file in the readme.. and than try to play the game.. it ask me to unlock a code... please advise..!!!!!!!

what code? skullptura's games are not coded or anything... after u extract it, run setup.bat... READ carefully and follow the instructions... now wait for 30 mins. or so depending on your system... after it finishes rebuilding, run game from desktop! easy ain't it?

THANKS Giz Personally I think this game looks great. I can never find anything with enough RPG elements to keep me happy. This one looks very promising.
