DOS(Box) Games Bootable CD is a small CD which contains over 80 games for MS-DOS and since version 2.1 over 100 games designed for Microsoft Windows 3.x series.<br />
<br />
There are three ways to run the items:<br />
<br />
1) Put the CD in your CD-ROM device (or mount with Daemon Tools) and then double click on the CD icon located in My Computer. Now you have the option to play the games directly or install them automatically to your Windows TEMP directory.<br />
<br />
2) Restart the computer and boot from the CD. A system with 36MB RAM is required.<br />
<br />
No need to copy, setup or install anything! It works out of the box!<br />
<br />
3) (new) Copy ALL files and directories from the CD to any directory you want. Now you have the option to play the games directly or install them automatically to PlayGame subfolder. You need to start Games.exe in order to play the games in this mode.<br />
<br />
Regardless the way you start the system, you will see the same text based menu from which you can choose an item to run.<br />
<br />
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some of the games may not run well in MS-DOS mode, or may not run at all. Such games are marked with asterisk (*) sign.<br />

In addition, if you use the CD in DOSBox mode, you have the option to install each item to your Hard Drive. This feature enables you to start the games faster (unpack game only the first time) and your saves are now really saved => you can really load them later! :)<br />

(new) Since version 2.1 you have the option to install permanently all items from this CD to your Hard Drive or USB stick. All you need to do is to follow these two easy steps:<br />
<br />
1) Copy ALL files and folders from the CD to the location you want.<br />
<br />
2) Start the system via Games.exe (or create shortcut for this file).<br />
<br />
Once an item is installed, you have the option to uninstall it. This is available ONLY for previously installed items.<br />

Due to hosting bandwidth limitations, direct downloads for new versions are not allowed. Instead, you have the option to download new versions as torrent files.<br />

In addition to this project you have the option to download two Windows Install packages. Both of them provide exactly the same functionality as the CD. No need to burn CD image. You only need to download, install and play the games! :)<br />
<br />
- The smaller package simply installs the CD files to any directory you want (during the setup process) and adds a shortcut icon to your desktop.<br />
<br />
- The so called Full Install package is the same as the previously described package, except that all games are pre-installed in the local PlayGame folder. You need ~700MB free HD space (~1GB during the install process).<br />
