The Sun Witch<br />
Sophie lives on an enchanted mountain with her sisters, Juliet and Isadora, and all are witches, although Sophie's powers are weak. And the sisters are under a curse--whomever they fall in love with will die by the age of 30. But Sophie wants a baby, so she decides that she will just have to be careful not to fall in love with the man she chooses to father her child. Enter Kane, a wounded rebel soldier. Sophie uses what limited powers she has to cast a healing spell and seduce him; then, knowing she is with child, she sends him away. When he returns a year later and sees the infant, he insists on marriage, but Sophie knows that their love will lead to his death. Then the baby is kidnapped. The Moon Witch<br />
When we last saw the Fyne sisters, witches all, in The Sun Witch (2004), Sophie was on the run with her husband, Kane, their baby daughter, and Kane's rebel troops. This book opens with imperial troops capturing Juliet and Isadora. Isadora uses her magic to kill the soldier closest to her to instill fear in her captors. Juliet is captured by Ryn, an Anwyn, who becomes a wolf at night and claims her as his life mate. More than that, she is part of an Anwyn prophecy, and she doesn't like it. Worst still, she is falling for her brave wolf-man, which is not a good thing, because the Fyne sisters are under a curse that kills the man they love before his thirtieth birthday. Isadora is imprisoned in the emperor's castle, her fate resting in the hands of the capricious and often sadistic queen. Like its predecessor, this is a cliff-hanger. Will Isadora use her magic for the forces of darkness? Will 29-year-old Kane survive his next birthday? Will Juliet accept her destiny? Will the evil emperor triumph?<br />

Isadora Fyne finds herself captured and held captive by Emperor Sebastion. Only the favor of the Empress Liane keeps her alive. Now Liane is pregnant with twins and both know the Emperor will kill one of the babies to prevent a contest for the throne. Isadora who knows she must not fall in love because of the curse on her family, meets and desires Lucan Hern.<br />

Lucan is Captain of the warriors of Bacwyr, when he sees Isadora he asks the Emperor for her favors. Ordered by the Emperor to attend Lucan, Isadora must find a way to save not only the babies of the Empress but Lucan because every man who is loved by a Fyne woman is destined to die before he reaches 30, and Lucan who is 36 will be forced by the curse to deny the good in Isadora and turn from her.<br />
