Its stupid pure and simple...did anyone bother giving thought to exactly what is going to compress the air? DUH!!! Same goes for electric cars and those that run on Hydrogen becuase it take ENERGY to make the electricity or extract hydrogen and short of a massive solar / wind project you still have to BURN something to get these materials.

The point is spending 1 bottle of fuel generate the same energy as 50 bottles would do...or you think petrol will last forever??? Don't you prefer living in a fresh air environment environment instead of complete toxic one???if we kill the planet where are we gonna live??? It's not a matter of discussing physics...it's about caring for you and your childrens health...think a little bit about this

I don't think Omega_One is saying he wants to live in a toxic environment. He is just pointing out that unfortunately the laws of Physics are pretty strong on the whole "something for nothing" idea. It can't be done. Compressed air represents stored energy, but that energy had to get there somehow. This particular air engine is zero pollution only if you just look at the vehicle itself. To compress the air to begin with takes some form of energy - burning fuels or whatever. This engine is a great idea for where you want engines with zero emission (ie in a warehouse or closed space), although I am suprised that electric motors can't do this just aswell.
