Who is the uploader who keeps doing these "eztv" uploads? Well, anyway, whoever you are, I appreciate your work, and hope you're able to keep it up! I got hooked on BSG a long time ago after the first couple seasons were already out, so I had to download them and watch them first in order to get caught up. Then, once I got caught up totally, it was almost time for season 4 to hurry up and get here!!! Now, I'm either watching them when they air and downloading after, or I'm working and I have to download them when I get home and watch them later the next day or so. So, I GENUINELY appreciate your work!!! Keep it up!!! "Pizza Guy"

Agree with bobniblets (post 27 above). There's a lot of artifacts in this torrent which get annoying after a while. The last eztv release of BSG was also poor so what's happening? eztv is usually a byword for quality tv torrents . It may well be free but I hate wasting my bandwidth on poor quality torrents .

How about the people who complain about the quality get active and do something about it. Obviously they don't appreciate someone making the effort of recording, editing out the ads, encoding, then distributing the result. Here's how YOU can get involved: 1> Test out other downloads of whatever is question, then let us know which one is better via a link in comments. 2> DO THE WORK YOURSELF!!! YOU record, YOU edit, YOU encode, then YOU post the results. Sick to death of people complaining about the quality of downloads they don't pay for. Leech off another person's work then moan about it. Disgusting!

Frankly Ramrunner, moaning about people "complaining" is just moaning. The torrent has artifacts and glitches in it - that is fact! This comment section is for reporting on the torrent and giving kudos if it's a good torrent and stating the fact if it's not. Indiscriminately given kudos to everyone simply because they ripped the torrent regardless of it's quality is self-defeating. If someone upthread had said there was issues with this torrent then more people would have looked elsewhere and the best torrent would have ended up with the most seeds which benefits everyone. It's simple really. Go find something else to be disgusted about .

I'm with Smurfty on this one. Let's ignore for a second the idiocy of suggesting such a lone wolf approach on a system that relies on co-operation and sharing, and just look at these forums. You can't win. If there's a problem with the download and no one says anything then all we get is people saying 'Why can't anyone post about the quality instead of all these stupid thank-yous' (though I can actually sympathize with that one, a lot), or whinging about 'I've downloaded this and it's broken and I'm never using EZTV again, and I recommend all idiot newbies follow my lead'. Then, if anyone actually posts about the quality (which *is* largely what these forums are for, rather than some contest over who is first, not that I mind the latter too much) then we get people *****ing about 'why are you complaining?' (nice irony) and oh-so-helpful suggestions to go away and do it ourselves, and reminders that it's free. Of course they are right, every single person downloading this in a position to watch BSG on TV and we all just download it to annoy the TV companies. Mmmm, that's right. Clowns to the left, jokers to the right... here I am, stuck in the middle with a lot of other people who just want to get a good quality download of Battlestar Galactica, or whatever.

Ramrunner suggests we either test all of the other downloads of the same file or make them ourselves. I've done both in the past (different file, different name) - does that mean I get to complain now? - and I'm currently downloading other versions of this episode of BSG, and what I am finding is that the second version of this episode that I downloaded seem to have the same problem as this one. Gosh, if only someone had bothered to mention that in the comments... though I'm sure Ramrunner would be there to ***** about it. The name says it all - hit and run.

Posting about the quality is a public service, albeit not one on the same level as those actually putting up these torrents. It stops people wasting time and bandwidth on bad downloads and in some cases makes the uploader aware there is a problem. EZTV are a great bunch with an eye on quality and I suspect they actually like to know if there is a problem that they're not aware of. Since they are nice enough to do this - for free - I, and others, am pleased to help supplement their efforts with such reports - for free.

If Ramrunner, and others with the same winning attitude, don't like people offering useful advice - for free - and so helping other people - for free - I for one would prefer they go away and do what they suggest, ie test every file themselves and presumably keep the results to themselves, or just make the rip themselves. They could then set up a P2P system consisting of only themselves, and share files only with themselves. There's probably a few other things they could do with themselves while they are at it. Alternatively, they could learn the difference between 'complaining about the quality of downloads they don't pay for' and 'reporting issues so that it can be dealt with'. What is this? If you're not uploading with us, you're against us? It's immoral to criticize an uploading group in a time of downloading? Get a grip!

Me, I'm going to keep checking the comments to see if anyone's been nice enough to mention any quality problems, and I'll continue to be extremely grateful to them, the uploaders (ESPECIALLY the uploaders), Mininova, and everyone who tries to make this system work well.
