Visto l'errore giudiziaro e la pena ingiusta da lui subita viene ricompensato dallo stato con un notevole conguaglio economico e, secondo sua esplicita richiesta, con la restituzione del suo vecchio posto di lavoro, con tanto di promozione: il poliziotto.<br /> <br /> Promosso quindi a Detective si aggira per Los Angeles un po' spaesato, un po' stralunato e un po' zen, condizione accettata più o meno di buon grado dalle persone che lo circondano vista l'esperienza traumatica da lui ingiustammente vissuta.
