Roketjack: Chipping Wii: Well, you can buy a mod chip from any of the usual places like: www.modchip.com www.modchipcentral.com Many others.... Or you can look around for someone that does this for money in your area, get them to do it or maybe they will sell you a chip directly (they usually stock them). All those websites have instructions on how to do it, but you need mad soldering skills and lotsa patience. Not hard to get done if you look around, depending where you live. Here in Calgary I've found 3 guys that advertise their services. The best chip out right now (depends on your version of Wii) is the Wasabi. Fewest wires to solder and most compatible. Hope that helps!

Rocketjack: I would advise that if you are not well up on chipping a wii that you do the same as I did and buy the chip already soldered with a fitting kit. That way you can just take apart your wii and plug & play. Try here for your chip:

just do twilight hack and soft mod your wii. gamma backup loader is great. havent found a game that doesnt work yet no need for a mod chip anymore it evens puts the proper region and prevents your wii from updating...getting bricked

I have inserted the disc, clicked the disc channel and got a warning that my wii needs to upgrade in order for PES2009 to work. It then says if your wii is modded then this may break the wii. What am I meant to do? Obviously I switched the wii off. Could someone please provide a simple (and relevant) answer (because god knows how many people have given me completely redundant advice like "a modchip is hardware"...erm thanks, that helps???)

@kima8 I am assuming you have your Wii chipped what is necessary for playing downloaded "back ups". You have to unpack the .rar file, Then an .iso file should appear. Then you burn the .iso image with Nero or ImageBurner at the slowest speed possible. Use Dvd -, not+. Then these Wii games should work if you have your Wii modified. You need to watch out for the region coding. If you have an PAL Wii i recommend downloading PAL games. If a game contains an update and its not your region (PAL or NTCS) you could experience problems because of the update being in the wrong region code. Good luck, Chris

Works brilliant on wii DC2 burn 4x speed on image burner and away you go.Many thanks to uploader you can burn on nero but I only got 8 out of 10 working ok.On image burner 10 out of 10.
