You don't need to use daemon tools to mount image or mds or use YASU. Just go to GCW and get the Pure v1.0 [MULTI3/MULTI7] No-DVD/Fixed EXE and fmodex.dll and replace in directory.

I don't think its driver problem. Here's why I think so ... I installed it a week ago when I bought a new 8600GT. WORKED FINE (riders appearing and doing stunts) with drivers that came with the card - dated july 15th. Couple of days later, I installed new drivers (dated Sept-15) through windows update. Now when I played it yesterday - NO RIDERS, just QUADS. I rolled-back nvidia drivers, installed latest (dated Oct-07 or ver-178.24) Closed all running apps while playing, Ran it in lowest settings possible, rolled back my overclock settings, even underclocked. Nothing worked. So I'm still wondering what did I do wrong last week to deserve this SPECS Vista Home Premium 32bit (vLited) Pentium Dual Core 1.6 1GB DDR2 667mhz XFX Nvidia 8600 GT 256 DDR3

I really don't see the point of reducing the size of game because you just lose quality, a great example of this is 007 quantum of solace, have seen the video qualities for that game and please don't blame my vid card, I'm talking about the cut scene.

Everything works fine here, running it on a 9800gtx with e8500 and it's totally flying. I can assure everyone here that you DON'T NEED ANY ADDITIONALS CRACKS/**** AT ALL ! Just make sure you've opened the .isz and .mds files in Daemon and cloaked the **** out of this with YASU. As for the game itself, it's just too bad that the solo content really ****s (read: easy as **** and short as ****) and that you have sometimes to wait ages to find someone to play with in multiplayer mode. Otherwise, good game, and nice rip, as expected from skullptura.

@ # 262 gronco2006 ok open the panel and look for the icon virtual CD/DVD-Rom and click on it set number of devices to 2, then click on virtual CD/DVD-Rom again and on one of the drives click mount image, then find your .mds and open it. then mount .isz the same way on the other drive

@ 254 i have the special set up as up on the right analog. all i do is use the up, and the tweak (L1 for me) and any direction and it works perfectly. @257 Skullptura just super compresses the file for faster downloads, when extracted it will be normal size. @259 the directory is the actual pure folder, the one with the setup.bat, it can go anywhere, mine is on my desktop. @260, yeah it takes forever to load, but its free. lol i usually smoke a cigarette or watch some tv. thanks skullptura awesome rip

@261 i don't know what your setup is, but when i installed GRID i had it on a 27 inch at 1360x768 and i got the same problem. i had to use my 19 inch at 1280x1024 for it to work.

ran the setup.bat as it was going.. it extracted and compiled about 20 files that went into program files, windows, system32 and was caught by norton as viruses and got deleted.. other then that it works

@pandagamer hey instead of mounting the images, there another way u can run the game. Download the crack from http://rs431.**********.com/files/146889914/pure.crackfix-RELOADED.rar After u finish installing by clicking on setup.bat, copy the two files from the crack from the link given above and paste it in the Pure game folder. It'l ask you if u want to replace existing files click "Yes all". Now u can play the game frm the shortcut in your desktop. ENJOY

Someone's wondering how it is possible to fit 4-5GB in 1GB? Here is the answer: http://www.fotosik.pl/showFullSize.php?id=bdb5cbe66a594ac8 Skullptura movies have much worse quality. Also audio directory is 100MB smaller than the original. So, if you want the "FULL QUALITY" game, you should still download the original ISO/MDF (of course, it can be packed through WinRAR or 7Zip). Hopefully, game textures are exactly the same as the original release. (I compared some big files via TotalCommander and they were identical. Sorry for my english.

VISTA USERS, same problem happened to me, I did everything it said, and it didn't work, when I clicked the icon, the game didn't start. I'm a complete noob at downloading games, but I got this to work. Like comment 91, get the Pure CRACKFiX-SEED4ME crack, just search it on mininova. Open the Pure folder in your download, after you have extracted, copy paste both Pure.exe and fmodex.dll from crack into the Pure folder, and replace both of them, now it should work. IMPORTANT, if it says that you can't replace or paste because another program is using it, restart the computer, because it still thinks Pure is open, even when it's not. ALSO, for those who don't know, to get to the crack, open Pure.CRACKFIX-SEED4ME winrar archive by double clicking it, open the folder named CRACK, and in it are Pure.exe and fmodex.dll that you need to copy paste, now you don't need deamon tools or YASU, it will work P.S. sorry it's a paragraph

What a disapointment PURE has no riders for me and CRYSIS is stuck on 99.9%. I also have STALKER Clear sky but am stuck at the cordon. I may have sorted clear sky (have to start again). I'm sure they will all get sorted out in time but as for now i am a little annoyed. What can you do but wait. Skullptura is the king of bandwidth saving but not quite this time. Still think you are great though, keep up the good work and i hope to see some fixes soon.

i think the problem with the missing riders on the atvs is to do with the geforce 8 series cards and drivers i looked on some forums and many people are having same problem with these cards there suggestion is to try the 177.92 beta drivers that seems to fix it i have a 8800 card and the missing rider problem and tried this fix and it worked for me

Use Daemon Tools 4.30.1 mount both the images given in the readme folder. Use Y.A.S.U given in the readme folder. Start YASU and click on Cloak and minimize it. It should work. But for Vista I don't know. I think Vista sux man..........

I finally figured out how to get the riders on the ATV You do need to update your graphics drivers BUT, you must uninstall the old ones first and for good measure i also deleted the c:\nvidia folder. I used the 177.92 BETA drivers but am not totally sure if it is needed or if it is an old driver that needs to be uninstaled to make the latest but non beta work. Just for information sake has anyone had any problems with ATI cards or is it just Nvidia? I am using xpsp3 with a 9600gt by the way. Hope it helps as it so much more interesting seeing the rider actually doing the stunts instead of the ATV moving slightly to one side.

Thanks Mac but, The beta driver would not work. Said there are no compatible devices for it. I didnt mention it was a geforce go 6800 256mb. Different than the reg one. I did upgrade the driver and set it to overclock. Now bioshock and half life 2 runs good. Still awesome even without riders. haha

@ asapas: And your MB is able to run these cards. Both are available for AGP-Acceleration. Sadly they are a little bit more expensive as they are for PCI-E.. but for those great games like this, it is worth it!

@ coolboysh: Please post your system with your driver-set. Are they all actual? I looked a little bit around the net and maybe it can be because of the crack. Did you try the new one? Search for Pure.CRACKFiX-SEED4ME here at MN. And did you also try the way skullptura has explained in his .nfo? With the Mini-Images?

HI guys , Thanks SKULLPTURA you are the best. The game run perfectly but i find that loading are slow .... about 3-4 minute each loading !!! I try to launch the game with daemon tools or with the crack and it is the same , when i am in the game all is ok , setting medium graphics and no problem but loading are slow !! Somebody has the samed problem ?

The slow loading times could be the amount of RAM you have. This game needs a minimum of 1 Gig to run. I currently have 2 Gigs of RAM and feel that i need more due to the ever increasing demanding games. Oh yes i too have what i consider slow loading times but, mine are only 20 - 30 seconds (i'm probably just impatient).

I using yasu/daemon tools and the game did not start so this is how I got it working under WinXP SP3 without Yasu or Daemon Tools Hardware: PIV 3.0ghz, nVidia 8800GT 512mb, 2gb ram 1. Follow steps 1 to 3 in read_me.txt in #readme# folder for installation Now download and use the following crack after Pure has been extracted, http://www.mininova.org/tor/1825281 If you are using the crack then you don't need to run Yasu or mount the mini images. As usual make sure you have updated your audio/video drivers. Enjoy!! The game works perfectly for me Thank you skullptura

Well,looks like you answered my question in the readme haha,well anyway it works well,and I don't happen to have the problem as asdf3013... Steps I used 1)Ran setup.bat/I was kinda too lazy to disable UAC...err...and I just unpacked the game in the download folder... 2)Mounted both files with Daemon tools v4.30.1 and yes the version seems to matter seeing as I kept getting a securom error when I used my previous version of Daemon tools.If you don't know how to set two images... 3)Run Daemon tools.Right click the icon in your tray,put the mouse over Virtual CD/DVD-Rom,then on set number of devices.Then... 4)Left click on the icon once more and load the images into device 0 & 1 5)PUT YASU IN THE DAEMON TOOLS FOLDER and run it 6)Game should work now if you followed the readme plus this confusing little thing here Played it for a good hour and a half with no problems...only that a controller would be best...no surprise there right?

I think that the long loadings are based on the game.. on some machines its faster and on others its not! Bytheway, i use the crack and the loadings are passable!

Hope I have helped everyone cause I have a mobile version and it was driving me insane that I couldnt find the latest drivers for my mobile version... luckly I figured out how to update it without having to wait the laptop brands to release the driver versions for the mobile versions. The game is pretty fine, but it seems to have some big problems. -No replay option( HOW COULD THYE NOT PUT A REPLAY OPTION WITH THOSE AMAZING STUNTS? ) -the multiplayer is not really good, not much options and you cant even talk with your friends or have friend list. -the game seems to have a lot of bugs, problems with shadows are really noticeable. - freaking long loading times - the game kinda gets booring really easy idk why at least for me - ok last thing, controlling the tricks isnt really fun PLEASE they need to patch it FAST, the game has E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G to be a really amazing game , but right now.. for real.. its not even close btw. thanks skull for the rip.

i found a solution for the long loading times.. if you have an nvidia card, go to the nvidia control panel and click on manage 3d settings.. go to the program settings tab and choose pure from the list.. scroll down to the bottom of the list and force vertical sync off hope it helps
