Portland teenager Alex every day walks with his skateboard in the park, where kids ride, but he does not dare to try. Deeper pulls the hood, when up to hear him talk about the upcoming parental divorce, sighs heavily, shy with girls and especially strained when school resumes in his questioning about the mysterious death of a policeman, who was recently found dead in the nearby railway station. The first full-length movie of Van Sant's trilogy scattered in time of death ("Jerry", "Elephant," "Last Days"), saturated with light, transparent tones and musical chords. "Paranoid Park" as if covered with a thin veil, through which up to us hear the quiet echoes of someone else's experiences and dreams. The frames are bathed in the sunlight, and delayed views, innuendo everywhere, incompleteness, thin translucent beauty. The acting is quite good, and rather common. Actors have coped with their task. Music in the film is just fine. At the right time and place, it certainly complements the action. And what are all these skateboarders jumping with beautiful music. And the cinematography - everything is beautiful, a little slow film uses slow-motion footage.
