Sydney Young - disillusioned intellectual pauper. He deeply despises the world of chic and glamorous, because he knows he will never become a part of it, and the wealth is not threatened him. His alternative magazine "World Without chic" ridicules the swaggering star obsessed with their own importance. And so, to have fun on this eccentric, publisher of the coolest glossy magazine "Glamour" offers Sydney an armchair of journalist in department of sensations. Everyone froze in joyful anticipation of the great jokes. But to the surprise of the local snobs, Sydney agrees to the proposal, and his eccentricities once brought him fame and success... The first day in New York is shown very vitally. And the whole picture is riddled with pretty candid thoughts about life, glamour, films, shows and business. In general, the picture leaves rather strange, but positive impression – seems, it is shown a classic American dream, but with an Englishman, it turns into some kind of a little "twisted", which allows Simon Pegg to turn here in full with his branded mugs and wagering. The movie has been shot great with excellent actors’ game.
