Somebody have to explain one thing for me; why do people pack files into many pieces? Is it not easier to just seed the .iso image, or whatever other format used?

Darkstorm: Here's your explanation. Because people are idiots. These files come from Usenet, where they need to be RARed because of the limitations of Usenet. But the people who get them from Usenet are too stupid to realize that they should un-RAR them before torrenting them. RARed torrents will die sooner, because people will un-RAR the movie and then delete the RAR files (if not the movie would take twice as much space on their hard drive). Also it's a hassle for everyone downloading, having to un-RAR, instead of the uploader doing it just once.
