The band decided to sign up for an Italian label who released the promo-CD Fist for Fight (cover artwork by the legendary Ken Kelly). A year later Sabaton returned with their first album: Metalizer. But this album was never released. After two years of waiting for the label to release Metalizer, Sabaton decided to record another album. This time they did it on their own, without the financial support of a record label. This album was entitled Primo victoria and after some negotiations it was released by a Swedish metal label called Black Lodge. Their second official album is entitled Attero dominatvs, which continues the war theme of Primo victoria, but the musical direction is a bit changed, keyboards and choirs gain a greater emphasis.
