I've been using the free Avira Anti-Virus for a long time now and a separate firewall... It is sure nice to be able to try this out before considering buying it... Thanks a lot!!! How good is the firewall that comes with this anyway??? Has anyone had a chance to put it trough its paces???

i don't know why but Heartbug said not to open LICENSE but when i open heartbug it does not open. It says that the file is either Corrupted or Damaged.There is no text document or notepad.There is just setup,license and HEARTBUG!

@virushaterxp, just open the ms info file by opening it with either notepad or wordpad or notepad++ or just by downloading the DAMN info viewer. ganun lang kadali yun. if you're using xp, never update it to SP3. lots of bad feedbacks came. the users weren't satisfied and it includes me.

@virushaterxp, as always, after downloading and installing sp3, i'm no longer able to update my softwares (most specially those security ones). . i'm really disappointed. all i have to do is to reformat again my system back to SP2 and just DL and install those security updates i need (e.g. security update for WMP11 for use in WMP plug-in for FF3) etc. BTW, its very good to have a windows OS genuiser (also for Vista users) to have a validated version of XP or Vista. hehe.. i,m not able to update because of the 12029 error. and i really can't fix it (either by software firewall etc.) i'm not a geek btw. just a software-lover.

Hi Technofreak07, I installed Avira Premium on my laptop: XP Home/Pentium 1/SP1 with memory (RAM) 190MB and free disk space 23GB (around 84% free). Is it okay to have Avira running with it's real time protection (Antivir Guard) along or simultaneously with SuperAntiSpyware Pro's real time? Two real time protections running? Got SuperAntiSpyware because of my good experience with it (free ed.) before and now I'm using the Pro version with real time protection. Any comment or advise? Thanks.

Just to add... Avira's working like a charm on my LT in spite of slow start-ups with it. But I disabled my SuperAntiSpyware's real time because of fears that 2 real time protections activated might cause problems. I've heard two AVs with real time running simul is bad but not one AV and the other an anti-spyware/adware-- both softwares can run their real time together. How true?

In addition... With Duo Cores and Pentium 4s--- Is it okay to have 2 have two real time protections running? My desktop is XP Pro/32-bit/Duo Core (1.60GHz)/MEMORY (RAM)447MB/ Disk Space 48GB free (around 60%). Presently installed is Bitdefender Total Security '09 along with (but both disabled) SuperAntiSpyware Pro and Spy Sweeper. I'd like to turn one of them on (along with it's real time protection/guard/shield) in addition to Bitdefender. That will be 2 real time protections that are on simultaneously. And if I choose Spy Sweeper-- it also has web guard and email protection (in addition to it's real time shield, this may also conflict with Bitdefender's). Will that be okay or it's not advisable? If it's not advisable, can I continue to keep them as back-up or do I need to uninstall them completely? Many thanks again.

technofreak07, i know zone is probably the best firewall out there but what if we just use a total security to be light on system resources and fast start-up? does having different softwares for different purposes help? though it will be heavy on system resources and can load slower at start-up? another thing, is it recommended to delete invalid registry entries? i'm using max registry cleaner- the one planetmaster recommended..

@technofreak07, some says advance system optimizer is the best out there but i think i'll give SM8 a try..thanks.and btw, i know avira is one of the best or probably the best in detecting malwares but the only thing is it cannot disinfect the file(s) infected. any good software you know to burn DVD movies (where you can really edit the way it will look when you play it) aside from NERO and ROXIO? i already tried ashampoo and convertX and i wasn't satisfied..though the burning process is fast and effficient.. @ pamangkin, dito me sa pinas. btw, "pamangkin" means niece or nephew in our language..just a bit of bad info.

thankx a ton technofreak...but no viruses were detected but my problem is still there...i.e free space in system drive changes automatically...i mean everyday it get lesser and lesser till it reaches 100mb...my total disk space is 10 gb and i hardly keep ne data in this drive as it is a system drive but still it is showing space approx 200mb free..i keep on deletin all temporary files...wat cud be the solution to this problem...THANKX IN ADVANCE....
