Issues like this come up in the Islamic world because Muslims decide all this based only on the Quran. Muslims are forbidden to read the Bible. Is this not because of the superiority of the Bible? There is an old Arabic saying that when a muslim reads the Bible, he turns away from Islam. Christians are not forbidden to read the Quran. They can read the Quran and compare it with the Bible to see which is superior, but in Islam not such liberty exists. Infact a Muslims cannot leave his religion without the fear of being murderd as per the will of Muhammad.
