Whether hunting Crusade relics, uncovering shocking slave murders, exploring secret Roman chambers or digging up trenches in Normandy, the BONEKICKERS team discover that unlocking the riddles of the past can have dangerous repercussions in the present. Headed by the feisty Gillian Magwilde, the team is drawn into danger and intrigue as they explore everything from World War 1 battlefields to Arthurian legend. The series doesn't shy away from controversy. In the opening episode, a group of Christian extremists attempt to start a religious war against Muslims after the team uncovers what appears to be a piece from Christ's cross! Meanwhile, running throughout the show is a bigger mystery. Unknown to the others, Gillian is searching for the greatest treasure in human history, a quest that drove her archaeologist mother insane. Ashley Pharaoh co-wrote the show with fellow Life on Mars creator Matthew Graham. Part 1/6 The apparent discovery of Christ's True Cross in Somerset. Part 2/6 The team find ancient remains in the Bristol channel which appear to be those of 18th-century slaves, and link them to a boat called the Somerset. Part 3/6 Gillian and the team explore a Celtic chamber beneath Roman baths, hoping to uncover more about the relationship between Boudicca and a soldier named Marcus Part 4/6 Kahmil Hammadi, an Iraqi archaeologist and Gillian's ex-lover, come to bath intending to reclaim a Babylonian relic which was looted during the Iraq war, but Gillian suspects a more sinister reason for his visit Part 5/6 A British World War One tank containing the remains of six soldiers is uncovered, causing an international archaeological feud but, as tensions simmer between gillian and her countrparts, evidence of a war crime emerges. Part 6/6 Gillian risks everything in her pursuit of Excalibur, and refuses to give up the search, even when some of those connected to the legend begin to die. </pre>
