Cant get this to work, directvobsub wont load it, vlc says: Unrecognized format for arw-witwiobl.dvdrip.xvid.sub. The whole release is pain in the ass.

Thanks for the help you FUCKING ASSHOLES. Mac users, here's how you play it with subtitles: 1) Download a program called VLC 2) Open VLC 3) Go "file", "open file" 4) Click browse and find the movie on your computer 5) You should see a box that says "Load Subtitles File", check that box, then click "Settings" next to it. 6) Click browse, and find the Subpack folder that you downloaded from THIS torrent. Select the subtitle file that ends in the extension .SUB 7) Click OK on this screen, OK on the next screen, and then the movie should play. You're going to get subtitles throughout the whole movie, but I think it's worth it, since you NEED them in certain parts. Hope this helps, since no one else does.

make sure you decompress the files then copy and paste both the SUB and IDX file into the same file that the movie is in, or it will give the error in vlc

My comment was for Windows users, the person above mentioned an error with VLC and DirectVobSub, and did not say how he fixed it. The soloution I provided should fix this with VLC Mediaplayer Classic and WMP. Thanks himod for the upload and for the sub fix. Now I can understand what the Jews are yelling, I like the part where the old one pushes Morgan then the cop and the cop shoves him back. I think he is in Africa.

these instructions do not work!!! the video file is labeled: arw-witwiobl.dvdrip.xvid and the sub file is labeled: arw-witwiobl.dvdrip.xvid-subs. when i try to open the video file and sub file with VLC, it says unrecognized format for subs.

Copy the .idx file and .sub file into same folder as the .avi. Just loaded using VLC and worked fine.

Yep, same here. They're actually closed-captioning files that describe the sound of the weather and laughter along with the translations.
