and yes i cant wait for the crack to be released... although it will more than likely result in EALA making you register to play stopping you from getting online...its what happened with Kanes Wrath when everyone downloaded it lol...but at least hamachi would work if u can get the crack on mate

well if a crack is made, it would be to get inside the beta without having to verify the key online first, but you would probably not get online with that, and lan is not possible unless this version of ra3 beta (1.0) is hacked to get the lan mode. the new patch removes that possibility, not that getting a hacked version is easy.. one person had done it but didnt share it.

yeah, this version is hacked and I know of some people playing it in the LAN mode. I'm simply tired of waiting for my invitation e-mail so I'm trying this shortcut and I'm somehow sorry about doing this. I hope someone shares that hack for us.

thats only true if u can bypass the keycheck which is supposingly done online, and if u own the cdkey and go online once, it will update and u wont be able to use lan again.

I finished downloading this file but I cannot install it using my beta key. It asks for our registration/activation code. So, I'm afraid I think I have to wait till I receive my mail unless there is a a way to install it without a reg key as has samoje has claimed here. We'll also need that LAN hack if that really exists. I'm really disappointed right now. The only thing I can do is to wait for my invitation e-mail.

you can install it without a key but once u try to launch it, it will still ask for your activation key as means of athunticating you b4 u go in game, that one needs a crack atleast, if we r to bypass it b4 even thinking about lan... as for installing, you can the different cab files, but u still need to place the files in the right place and rename em. plus make a registry file. done all that but cant go any further unless i get my key which wont be for a while -.-

the key you get when u buy kane's wrath must be registered with ur ea account that u make, so that you can enter the beta, then when its ur turn, you get a different key from them, u can use that one to play, not the current one u have... if you have not yet registered it, then ur turn will be delayed even more

Hey if you look carefully in the 1.2 patch note for the beta it says "disable a hack that enables lan play" so it shouldn't be that hard to do if we don't update the game ^^ But Samoje can you just upload your ra3game.dat so that we can all search for a way to activate lan play? thanks

wohhai you found it that it.. and to install , go in the localization.ini under Support and change demo=0 to demo=1 and the install START you need to put the reg red alert 3 beta ERGC with any false key.. but after the real challenge.. online check ! securom hacking.. i'm not that good

Yeah now the problem is the ra3game.dat and the paull.dll . If you remove the paul.dll it will ask for the cd rom of red alert 3. But i believe the paul.dll is hard to crack because it's securom based!

I've tried to use the fake paul.dll file and to create a ra3 cd by making an iso out of the installation files. Then i use Yasu to cloak daemon tools but it just gives me an error saying that it's missing an activation module! (so near) XD

same here @killercow I am not quite sure if it was for SecurRom or Safedisc but with one protection u have to unplug you'r real cd/dvd drives to play emulated isos. I am too lazy right now to test it, any volunteers?=)

i thought of that b4 but they arent as stupid as to include the files needed for the game continue in their installation files... they have them on their servers and the game would read those after getting its key authenticated... which is why we either need to get the ra3game.dat cracked to not require those files anymore, or get the "files" needed for authintication -.-

Why would they do that? It would be a completly waste of traffic. If you remember the Hl² launch day, where some files had to be downloaded the server went down due to high traffic. It is not the same, but are u serious they would risk that?

@ well this only a thought, but i think it just needs to get the authentication, which is not "files" that the game cannot run without but rather just something to tell the game that it is authentic and good to go... if the game couldnt find the paul.dll, then it would search for the cd instead for that authintication

The simple fact is, a new paul.dll will do nothing but cause the RA3GAME.dat to look for a new authentication source. If we want to skip authentication, someone has to puzzle out how to disable the authentication processes within the main DAT itself.

wg3bfu, sniffing network yes but the communication between ra3 et ea server are SSL crypted . So you only can do : RA3.exe => redirection => pc with webserver and known SSL set up (correct me if i'm wrong). And to replace the EA webserv you just have to modify your host file (on windows) to redirect EA address to wanted address (for example).

Alright instead of just asking the same questions lets do some investigation work. A guy on ******* said something along the lines of this "Find the Byte. Decompress .big files and then find one byte that isn declaired as menu" Alright, I know it sounds more simple then it looks. So how do we open .BIG files? Well since I believe this uses the same engine as the Lord of the Rings RTS lets try there. So I found a program called FinalBIG, and boom I can open the .BIG files. Im assuming if they both are using .big files, they were built on the same engine, now how much has changed since then, who knows, but when you already have a game engine developed, you don't really change much, you just improve it. And knowing EA's standards, they didn't change the engine as much as slightly improve it to reduce development time.

I used FinalBig to open patch 1.2 (this torrent is clear 1.0 version of beta i think - i don't have beta code so i can't check that) In patch 1.2 EA changes only few files in Apt.big and i thnik that they deleted Lan Mode in main menu when they changed something in files feg_m_mainmenu3d_beta.bin feg_m_mainmenu3d_beta.imp feg_m_mainmenu3d_beta.ma****st feg_m_mainmenu3d_beta.relo and i think that this files are responsible for Main menu in beta I compared these 4 files from version 1.0 and 1.2 but this is "****". This files are in hex so I used hex editor but I can't find any changes between files ver. 1.0 and 1.2 (there is a lot of dots and strange characters in hex sorry for my "little" non grammar English

I agree with romo86. Enabling LAN mode is all well and good, but if we cant get to the menu in the first place, it is a useless accomplishment. We should focus our attentions on the startup crack. Once that is complete, we can turn our eyes to enabling LAN. After all, enabling LAN is obviously easier, as the ******* guy did it...

Alright, well I got my hands on a legit copy. And yes the patch 1.2 adds a new folder with a new .big that has similar files to to the original apt.big, but all those files have from v1.0 and v1.1 have been removed. So basically they redid the .big file and made it go from 35mb to 5mb, thus removing alot of the files. I tried importing the files from 1.0 to 1.2 and rebuilding a new .big file but to no success, I don't know if there are bits in there we have to change or what. The game does load when I import the files, so its not detecting a new build of .big, I dont really know where you have to turn these menus on, you might have to import them into the new .big file, and then edit the ra3game.dat file to enable or the .exe, but I cant be sure. PS, this game is buggy as ****.

Hey, Hey, be nice...I just got the beta installed and activated you know. I know they may be the same, but they were the most likely candidates. Besides, something, registry or otherwise, must be different, for I can run the beta whether I am on the internet or not. I have an unactivated one on another pc, and am comparing files and registry keys. @aloto'ppl Those four files are like call functions and directives for the image locations for the menu system, check updates 1 to 1.2 and the dat files change. From disabling the code from appearing in the UI to removing the code entirely on 1.2. @pplwillcrack Ref. dat use 1.0 the call function is there. But if you have online actvation this'll be easy testing for you. Tip skip the idea of adding the LAN mode but replace the directive for the online to LAN, easier. Yes, actually, I tried all that. I copied the game to another pc. The game itself still asked for authentication. I then moved all the registry entries as well...the game started up and even worked online!!! It is a registry entry that allows you past...when i find the correct one, I can center a crack around it....yey!

Alright, so I've read the comments on this torrent the past few days, my programming skills don't go beyond basic and I didn't feel I had anything helpful to comment, so I didn't. But maybe now we're getting to something. As posted in comments 154-156, the server responds in XML. Therefore it seems quite obvious that the files posted by Lavarider in comment 199 should be an important thing in getting past the activation, together with some registry entries. Also, Lavarider maybe you could compare some XML entries with some reg key values (like the two ID numbers). Or even post your whole Red Alert 3 Beta key (without your legal serial of course). Oh, and don't forget about the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SecuROM key, maybe something's there.

That sounds like a pretty good error. It should mean Lavarider can re-install without having to worry about his key getting banned, as long as he does it on the same computer. Which means he could filemon and regmon, would be awesome if he would! Unless there's a more TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS errors around, but if there are, it would be very weird if it's only set to one installation, so I doubt that's the case.

Guys I have a working LAN hack and key Generator, all I need is to get past the initial Activation, I have tried using paul.dll, I have also used safe disk and securerom deterrents but either end up with a dialog asking to insert DVD or stating activation module missing. If someone has a working ra3game.dat which enables you to get to the menu I will be happy to trade that for the LAN hack, I will also state this LAN hack works with 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2 and has been tested on a legitimate copy. You guys are crazy. There is this thing called 'point of diminishing return'. Where the work you have to put into a task to achieve your goal is not worth the effort. For 6$ you can buy a subscription to fileplanet.com where they will give you a free RA3 beta key... I didn't realize this and I read every single post. Thanks for the beta torrent, but its also readily available from fileplanet too

you have stopped the Securom service, you deleted the directory that is hidden under your username....but that registry key is a nightmare....right? SECUROM adds to the registry what is commonly called a NULL Registry Key, this means it bypass all OS protection and you cannot delete it in any way, not in SAFE MODE, not by giving Permission. nothing will work. removing the ****** KEY is everyone's nightmare cause you cannot remove it without format.....but here it comes the rescue! 1. get this registry cleaner... http://www.shura.totalcmd.net/download/trashreg.zip 2. install or run it 3. click FILE , then click on FIND KEYS WITH NULL - EMBEDDED NAMES 4. it'll show you the SECUROM - CANNOT DELETE ME key 5. just delete the key 6. DONE! Warning: removing Securom will make your Securom games stop working unless you get a NOCD cracked or something but i guess you already know that.

Guys, I try to activate with fake server, but doesn't seems to work. It ask for CD/DVD I think the problem is Transfer-Encoding: chunked I do not know how to simulate this header (header("Transfer-Encoding: chunked" does not work May be i will pass this but the server generates unlock code by SN and request code (which each time is different)...

redkiller66, no since first of all, every time ea needs to do something about the crack they need to make an update for the game which they do not desire, and they cant just keep making 100 updates with the log being only "security reasons"..... plus ea is using securom as their security system, meaning as long as securom does not make a new version and ea get that then update the game with it (dunno if a game as ever updated protection after launch), then they wont be able to do something about the crack...

no need to uninstall, you can run older versions but editing your shortcut to the game and adding -runver x.x for example if ur game is on d: and you want ur game to be version 1.2 then ur shortcut should have "D:\Red Alert 3 Beta\RA3Beta.exe" -runver 1.2

its called hamachi, and to use hamachi u have to create a LAN game... what is not possible in the beta, since its only for online play firstly a key is needed to install it and then need to get the game to lan mode.. i saw a video on ******* that somebody had lan mode enabled.. http://***********/watch?v=cbcG5QvFu8A&NR=1&fmt=18

You need it to update your game when EA release a new patch. When they do, you will need to download a new unlocker for that patch. As you can see I have already updated the links for 1.4.
