***REAL INFO*** though this game may have worked for some of you, when i attempted to install this game, the installer got to where it was almost completed, and crashed, i believe it crashed while attempting to install the game.exe file, i decided to restart and try to install again, except i couldnt fully restart my system, i got to my desktop, but my wireless wasnt connecting, and none of my start up programs were starting, and i had no access to my task bar, i couldnt do anything, no ctrl al del, nothing, so i had to restart in safe mode and restore, i am choosing to not attempt this game again as i have now deleted it, take my situation however you decide to. i do not reccommend this torrent

This what I,ve done to make it work. This is my step-by-step procedure for the problem "Please insert Install Disc" 1.Download Diablo 2 full game with Expansion torrent. 2.Download any virtual CD-ROM..I downloaded DAEMON TOOLS LITE (4.30.3) 3.Open the DAEMON TOOLS. 4.Click on Add Image..Open the Diablo 2 Install Disk, Diablo 2 Play Disk, Diablo 2 Cinemantics Disc and Diablo 2 Expansion - Lord of Destruction. 5.Mount Diablo 2 Install Disk. 6.Install FULL... 7.If its looking for Diablo 2 Play Disk mount it then click ok. 8.Then if its now looking for Diablo 2 Cinemantics Disc mount it then click ok. 9.Then Install Lord of destruction2 in FULL... 10.After that it will look for Diablo 2 Play Disk mount it again. Then mount again LOD... then when its done.. UGRADE TO FULL>>>>> 11.Everytime you play... 12.You need to mount the Diablo 2 Expansion - Lord of Destruction NO NEED TO CRACK....And Enjoy Playing

I finally got mine to work. Follow the instructions in the README & CREDITS doc. Burning the iso files onto disks didnt work for me so I mounted the iso files with DAEMON TOOLS. Works great!!! cheers!!

dont burn to CD, not necessary. Get Daemon Tools Lite, its freeware. Its a virtual CD/DVD drive on your hard drive. You can mount the iso files with that program and install the game. Google it, get it, enjoy it

Help! I succesfully downloaded the game and can play the single player, but when i get on battle.net it says that my cd key was wrong (not authorized). How do i get around this? Do i have to reinstall it using a different cd key? I used the first cd key in the list from this torrent's readme. Also, how do i move the .mpq's all around like it says to in the instructions? okay so before you install this, d/l magicdisk, its a virtual dvdrom, once that is installed your goin to rightclick your d2 installdisk and mount it using your magic iso, and repeat until install complete, then mount your expansion disk, and repeat until complete, but make sure you have keygens because these ones only register as the game is boughten, not registered to battle.net, when your lod is installed, upgrade to full game, patching it when complete and you should be on your way

Looking for a private Diablo 2 server? I've been looking around for good private servers, but most of em go down all the time. I found one that's been up for the past 4 days, so it's pretty stable. http://null.rakon.org/index.php/topic,8.0.html Just follow the instructions on the page and Diablo will be able to play on the private server right away. Those of you that are having trouble playing discless (or without the help of mounted discs), what you need to do is copy all of your MPQs over to the installed directory (Diablo II). The readme vaguely states this, but never instructs you to do so. Way to Engrish there.

I felt the readme specifically told me to copy the .mpq files to the diablo 2 directory, i dont see how you could miss that if you read the readme, but to clarify even more. in the last steps in the readme you need to mount the images and then open the image in explorer. Each image have a few .mpq type files that need to be copied over to the directory you installed diablo 2.

I using PowerISO virtual disk and mounted all the 4 iso files all at the same time. 1 question, do i have to copy the mpq files in the Play disc too into the D2 folder? from the readme it only states expansion, cinematics and install disc. im d/l at around 100k/bs but i dont need 2 of the discs cutting it in half for size. When i originally purchased off a friend, like 2 years ago i put the cd's into my my kitbag and before i got home i crushed the play disc (i have install and cinematic's cd. never had expansion so that should be fun. I cant find my cd-key either so im in the same boat. plz people dont do anything without following the intructions it is really easy mount only the disc required for install dont extract it !!!!!!!!!! and then copy all the .mpq's files mentioned in the read me provided to the diablo 2 directory included the play disc. to mount u need only to download deamon tools and mount the disc note: u cant play diablo until u install the expansion cause it wouldnt work unless u stick to instruction after that enjoy the game it really work and i am a beginner in the torrent download

7.once install remount intall disc copying all mpq files to where u installed the game 8.repeat (7) with cimematics and play disc 9.after that install expansion like the step 4 10. after installing copy all mpq file in the disc to wher u put the game like in previous steps 11.do the patch provided with the torrent and the game must lunch after the patch automatically HAVE FUN NOTE: to find mpq files just click on my computer and on diablo icon(like u inserted a disc in the pc) of course u need to do that after mounting the right disc (step 4)

for Nastybullet and all players who needs a guide: 1.download the torrent 2.download deamon tools seaching for it on google(it doesnt matter which version) 3.install deamon tools it appear on a small icon like a shock at the very edge of ur pc 4.click on this icon : device 0 [E:] Empty 5. a window appears then search for the torrent downloaded in ur pc and double click on install disc 6.automatically the install window of diablo 2 appears then install the game it would demand after that the other discs while installing to solve that repeat the install disc instructions with cimematics and play disc

to #3. blizzard has a great quality assurance and testing team. they only release when its ready by their standards. not only that, they've restarted the diablo III project 3 times because they felt it wasnt good enough. (it was in one of those video interviews when D3 was first announced) Now when you think of Hellgate London (made by ex-blizzard employees), its hard to believe its such a **** game. so many bugs, poor memory management, boring environments, gameplay took 2nd place, horrendeous user interface and an extremely rushed release date. as long as activision doesnt **** things up, we'll be in for a treat when Diablo 3 comes about.

If this is anything like the version I downaloaded then you pretty much need to figure out which disc corresponds to what. In mine CD1 = Install Disc, CD2 = Play disc, CD3 = cinematics. So if you mount it with daemon tools it works like this. 1 - Mount disc 1 and select full install. 2 - Asks for play disc, mount disc 2 and click OK. 3- Repeat step 2 whenever it asks for a new disc (if you're unsure just mount one disc and if that doesn't work try the other) 4 - Once install is finished mount disc 2 and play. Mind you the one I have doesn't include the expansion so you'll have to figure that out but it shouldn't be too much different. Hope that helps everyone.

for vista, just go to your game.exe in the diablo 2 folder. then right click, open up properties, in the compatibility tab chech "disable desktop composition". it should work after that.

LOL OMG, I GOT IT TO WORK. Solution : Download 'DAEMON Tools Lite v4.30.1 32/64 Bits (with SPTD 1.56)' (http://disc-tools.com/download/daemon) Then install it, and run it. There should be an icon on the bottom right with a red background with a CD with lightning on it. Right click on it, go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM > DEVICE 0 [Drive:] > Locate the disc.iso that you need, then mount. After that, Install Diablo II Also, for expansion pack, I know that it doesn't work for some people [Like me], so I just mounted the Expansion disc.iso, and then went to Start> My Computer> G: or F: or whichever drive it is on, then it should work. Hope this helped xD

I was having trouble with corruption on expansion disc, and some people here are too. But for the majority of downloads there are no issues, so, after some hours trying everything posted here and in other forums i decided to do a recheck on utorrent, to see if was a hash fail, to my surprise, the expansion disc was INCOMPLETE by 20mb, even after the message of download complete. I just put it to resume the download and is all ok now. Hope this helps.

okay i alot of you will be wondering how to play. once you install the game. you have to get a d2 loader. you can get one from d2sector.net replace the diablo II.exe with the one you downloaded. make sure you dl the latest patch b4 you do this from the blizzard website. then you will be good to go

ok for those of you who had troubles with the expansion file...i'm guessing you're using Nero to burn your ISO files (just like I did)..now there's nothing wrong about the expansion file itself...what you have to do is burn at least just the expansion file with POWERISO or deamon tools...that should solve the problem...^_^

I'm using Daemon Tools Lite by the way. The Install disc is mounted. The only option to install is Install or run program - no Full Install as stated in the read me file - so I select it. An autoplay box pops up prompting me to run setup.exe. When I click OK, I get the error I mentioned previously: No program start menu found."

This torrent is working great even in vista. Thnx uploader! To those who were having problems, I just followed the ReadMe txt (as should always). I used DAEMON Tools (download it here at mininova, download the latest version)to mount the *ISO files. There should be no problem after that if you can understand instructions

@radflux did you update the game using the given update patch? @iknowitall got it working on my vista laptop. i did not set any compatibility mode and installed it as stated in the instruction. Only problem I encountered was that tha game needs 5minutes to load. @aqua God i guess so

to all you out there with DL speed problems, try changing your upload limit. if you put the upload speed limit too low your download speed completely dies. likewise if its too high. im downloading between 400kb/s - 700kb/s. i have a cable internet connection and my upload speed limit is at 25kb/s. try it. it works.

just so you know, mount it etc.... no cd key from a keygen will work for online play b/c the cd keys from the keygen arent vaild blizzard cd keys, so therefore you are gonna have to play single player or you gonna have to buy cd keys/ or steal them in order to play online "cheers"
