Though anime often surprises you with great plotting and characterization, there was some reservation that "Blade of the Immortal" could have anything but passing interest. After all, a warrior that can't die doesn't share the same risks as mortals. This first episode proved to be very worthwhile because of in-depth what-if's clicking together like a crazy mad brainstorming session. The creation of comic book or anime universe isn't at all easy but gets rather complex while demanding imagination and significant knowledge. The makers of the series hint they are up to the task. All in all one can see not only great production values but investment in an extremely interesting fictional premise rewarding this viewer with many contemplative pauses like, "could it really be like that?" or "come to think of it that could be possible if that existed". Anime lovers unite behind this title. Peace-

thanks, i've been reading the manga for over a decade. i didn't think they'd ever do an anime since Samura's style is hard to recreate in animation. can't wait to check this out.
