Mrs. Laura Henderson is not going to spend the rest of days playing bridge. She buys the Windmill Theatre in London's West End and, with support from an unknown impresario Vivian Van Dam, turns it into a place where Londoners can forget about the endless Nazi bombing aircraft. The indefatigable Mrs. Henderson is seeking permission from Lord Cromer to something unheard of before: the actresses will play naked. The film is incredible. A brilliant story about not so young lady, played by Judi Dench, who decided to buy a theater and install there her rules. Although the idea is not original, but it was embodied perfectly. Everything is very harmonious, the dialogues of the characters are very realistic and witty and the characters themselves - very colorful. As for the cast, this is probably the only film that boasts perfect casting. Everything is so in tune with each other, even impossible to imagine them in another role. Judi Dench is excellent, as well as the least talented Bob Hoskins.
