i have posted this question about 10 times and no one can give me a good answer, so again can someone please tell me how to get sound with ac3, i download the movie, burn it to a disk, get a great picture but no sound. i am using a mac and i burn movies with popcorn or toast, so can someoe please help me out, it would be a great help. thank you

I think he means on his standalone player. I dont think older ones play AC3 sound. I know they will place AC3 on the dvd itself but not if its in a divx file. I know my old divx player would only play mp3. Recent players will play them just fine and even convert it to 2 channel sound. On a computer you need an AC3 codec to decode the sound but I think VLC has it built in?

hey evilmaker, for new macs, the a3c codec isnt actually what works, you will actually use the a52 codec(yes, even for things that require an ac3 codec), google it, download it, and youll be fine. when i had my ibook the a3c worked fine, but when i got a macbook, i was forced to discover this trick because none of the movies with ac3 codec had sound even though i had it installed on my machine. hope this helps, peace

evilmaker07 demux audio and video, convert audio into mp3, mux it back and burn. I dont know why the fuck aXXo is using AC3 for this one (2.0 channels cbr) WTF?! use fucking ordinary mp3 so people can watch it on any platform. If u have 5.1 audio source, thats another story, but this is crap. Use mp3.

Subs Help... I found several eng subtitles for this Axxo release, but none works, the subs just dont appear (tried with VLC and WMP), and I know the avi file must have the same name of the srt file (i have done this hundreds of times before...). I tried to burn the avi and the srt renamed with the same name on a dvd and my divx-dvd player reads only the timing of the subs (like 00,00,37-00,00,42 or the number of the line). Any advice? thanx a lot

This is supposed to be an excellent (though controversial) Made-in-Canada movie. The conservative Governement in Canada is taking away funding from movies like this in the future, because they figure it doesn't reflect the morality of the majority... but really it's because the conservative Reform part Albertans don't think anyone should watch something they don't approve of.
