The whole premise is wrong. You cannot prove or disprove God with science. They are inexorably different fields.

yap-yap! think you're going to heaven when you die? Death is sleep without dreams. anyone that believes otherwise is naive and weak. there is no god, if there were, there would be no starvation in 3rd world countries, and thats just to start with. go back to church and beleive in something that cannot and hasn't ever been able to physically prove itself. NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW THE FULL TRUTH!!! the only way to know is throught death, and no ones sayin **** then!

The existence of God is ultimately a binary question, either God does or does not exist. Quite simply, one of those two choices must be correct. If so, then why ever would anyone suggest the answer is unknowable? Why is the God question immune to logical thought, experimentation, observation? Why does religion alone get the free pass of "faith?" Further, even if our accumulated store of scientific knowledge presently (and I emphasize 'presently') renders the answer unknowable, it does offer excellent probability estimates. Simply because there are two alternatives does not mean the probability of each is precisely 50%! Weighing historical, observational, experimental, and logically derived evidence, we can far more strongly argue for God's NON-existence, than his existence.

@#4 - Cpt_Algren: At best, it seems that you can "prove" that God's existence is not required, but I doubt that non-existence can be proven. As for me, I have experienced the impossible (with witnesses), so I *know* that "something" exists beyond human comprehension. What that something is, I have no idea. -MM

As long as we keep God an abstract vague term we can always justify our continued belief in him/her/it/fido, no matter what the evidence or our experience. But that isn't satisfying and all major religions and the vast majority of minor ones all want to say something definite about what the universe actually is. They have to get the punters in the doors and then say why they're way is so much better than all the others. So yes, the existence of God(s) in the vague possible sense can never be disproved the existence of a particular God,.. i.e. yours, can be.

You can't prove a positive, Ie you can never know for sure that your explanation is correct no matter how many times it correctly predicts outcomes, the next time could be the one that doesn't follow your predictions there by showing your assumptions to be incorrect. Conversely you can prove a negative, if you make predictions that naturally (logically) follow from your premises and then they prove to be wrong then either your premises or your logic are mistaken.
