Hi AXXo, First of all thank you for your great work. I have a question: The last few films i have downloaded from you seem to have a vertical bar (green and blue) flashing throughout the movies. It didn't use to happen so i was wondering if you had changed your codecs. I use VLC to play them usually and i have never encountered this beofre. dekka: you can verify if aXXo has changed the codec by using GSpot: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ VLC is a buggy player that has yet to make it to the version 1.0. From what I remember it requires a display color depth of 32 bit, try that. MPEG-4 is not a codec: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG_4

Hi sasha_2k Thanks for the info. I actually realized that these movies play in normal player such as nerovision. That's what happens when VLC is your default player. I am not sure if i understand the display color depth you're mentionning, my display quality is on 32-bit (high quality, apparently). If you care to elaborate i am all hears. thank you for your help.

alright so mpeg-4 uses x264 codec, same difference though. my ps3 says most of the new movies he's put out are mpeg-4 so im just going with the information from that. question....people say they cant get video quality like axxo. is it possible those ppl have a pc and maybe a mac has the better programs?

@ Nate: nothing has changed. When I play a file from aXXo in my DVD player it starts with "MPEG4 loading", after that the video codec is DivX 5.x and audio is mp3 or AC3 (as always). @ dekka: I downloaded and installed latest VLC (0.8.6f). With 32 bit display everything works fine. With 24 bit display the colors are wrong with VLC but perfect with MPC-HC: http://s3.tinypic.com/317a1w7.jpg MPC-HC is a 5 MB single file player with internal decoders and subtitling for most video and audio formats. From View > Options > Output you can choose the best renderer for your hardware (VMR9 renderless is a good start). From Options > Internal Filters you can choose what internal filters will be preferred to external ones. From Options > Formats you can click on "Video" to associate with video files. Changes take effect after you reopen. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/

Can anyone please help me out? My ISP has blocked my ports on Bittorrent. It first happened with Utorrent. I didn't understand it then. Thot it was a problem with the client. Changed to Bittorrent. It worked for some time and then slowed down. My download speed has been cut down to 20 times. I can only download at 15kbps now. And it doesn't upload at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was having same problems as you but now things are a lot better.I went to my router site got all the information about it there.ie.Portforwarding etc,IP,DNS addresses etc,and did exactly as outlined and then hey presto!!!Magic!!The software that I use for burning etc is ConvertXtoDvd,I download to my desktop and drag n drop files into it.
