Sounds like you might need a new PC. 1080p video is seriously processor intensive, and as such the audio usually ends up lagging behind on slower rigs.

I have the same problem. Is it really just my laptop? The video playback is much slower than the audio. Am I using the wrong player perhaps? I've tried it on everything I have (VLC media player, Media Player Classic, GOM player, JetAudio, etc).

Guys. If you have trouble with playback search for this: Core AVC (you can get it on mininova). Install it, and use a howto> http://www.danielandrade.net/2007/02/28/howto-play-high-definition-videos/ ) There you go. Your PC will definitely play any HD video. Have phun. (I watched this one on my ATOM based server ... 1.6ghz )

Ah I forgot to mention. 1) Download AND install http://cccp-project.net 2) THEN install the CoreAVC stuff 3) THEN follow the howto Sorry guys (advice: DELETE all codec packs/extra movie players before you install CCCP-project. Its an all-in-one. The best out there.)

the sub timing is off and slight freezes here and there the picture quality is good though
