The son of a British diplomat, Joe Strummer (his real name - John Mallory Graham) was born in the Turkish city of Ankara August 21, 1952. Settled in London, he changed a few schools, and later briefly studied at the Art College. The main passion of the young John was the music - rock and reggae, for a time he was a street musician (that's when he took the alias of Joe Strummer), and in 1974 became leader of the group "101” ers” playing the pub-rock. The group lasted for about two years and managed to release just one single. In 1976, an event that radically changed his life - namely, the concert of «Sex Pistols» in one of London's clubs. The concert has shocked Strummer, that he immediately decided to part with "101” ers”... A good documentary, which allows to know not only who is a Joe Strummer, but to plunge into times in which he lived and worked. In addition, the era was quite colorful - the flowering of punk culture. Plus the film is that of a hero told different people, and people are very well known, were born at the time: Depp, Bono, Cusack, Buscemi. It is clear that if the movie is about the musician, then give the viewer to see and hear some speeches. Liked the idea – to film people sitting around the campfire, and reminiscing about Strummer. In these gatherings around the campfire is always something magical, they bring people together. That's what makes the music.
