The problem was that the reg files were created in the wrong directory. I found them under the Virtual Store tree, when they should be in the key/local user/

Works great on my desktop which's runnnig XP. When trying to patch on my laptop running Vista (Vista sucks) it won't patch. When I try running the game it does first-run stuff then crashes when it's about done.

i screwed up, to be honest it just worried me, it said extracting for about 20minutes when it said something about taking 7, so i was snooping around and it stopped extracting and moved on to extracting something else, and i think what i t was trying to extract wasnt complete because it stoppped at 42% for a while. so i stopped it and it said it had an error and to uninstall, but i dont know how to uninstall it when there is no s\program to run to uninstall and it doesnt show up in my programs.. I tried resuming the extraction of the 7zip but it still stops at 42%. Can anyone tell me how to uninstall this game please, so i can re-attempt an installation lol.

yeah, your gfx card can't do pixelshader v2. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest check a few games here to find out what version of pixelshader your card has

Thanks for the game. Anyone get this working on Vista x64? Tried downloading four different patches from MANY sites and they all show Would like to very much play this game because I am huge history buff specially of Ancient Rome...obviously (name.) Hell, I would be willing to buy the game if I could get it to work. But legal demo doesn't work either so I would be very angry to spend $55 on a game that won't work for me.
