He also writes a column in <span style="font-weight: bold;">Private Eye</span><!--bold--> usually named <span style="font-weight: bold;">Doing the Rounds</span><!--bold-->, under the pseudonym M.D. (most of the Private Eye's writers are anonymous and it is typical for writers to adopt appropriate pseudonyms).
