PC Halo 2 XP VISTA RIP dopeman

i use xp and i know i did all ok the game wanted some (dll)s i have downloaded from the internet , but i click on the XP PLAY HALO 2 my screen go black and a msg appares saying ( optimun resulotion 1280 1024) and sthing else i dont remember then i have to restart my computer , do u think that my resulotion is so high ? i dont try it with a low resulotion.

not sure i can so, lol idk if isohunt disapproves of the piratebay.org but thats where i got it. If you go there and search halo 2 workaround, you will find it.

im having trouble with live because when i added my gamertag from xbox.com, i had to update for the halo 2 game. when it updated, the game closed. when i restarted the game, it kept repeating. Can some one help!

Gee... Even if you select a new profile, the game stucks and you have to start all over again! Any ideas?

installed : vcredist.msi, then XLiveRedist1.0.6027.msi, then removed the dwmapi.dll file its still doesn't work.

it says: application failed to start becuase d3dx9_31.dll wasn't found. reinstalling the app may fix this problem.

i installed the game fine for XP, no problems at all.

10-15 mins into the game though the game starts stuttering to the point it wasn't playable. restarted H2, was a little bit stuttery still but playable. but then as i complete the first mission and ready to start the next it tells me that the product is not registered and i need to register before i can continue playing.

can anyone tell me how to fix this?

just to add, the stuttering is not hardware related, my system is more than capable of playing H2.

Here is a great idea for you people who can't install the game go out and buy a REAL one and play it save up your money. Well, I believe you can play this game. After the registration message, quit the game, restart it and select a new profile. It's boring but I believe it will work. Have fun!

Hy every oane, i finaly get past level 12 thanks to [crejbi] [dopeman] fix. All you have to do is search over the internet for this :"[PC] Halo 2 XP ACTIVATION FIX [crejbi] [dopeman]", after downloading do this : "A)-Copy "Loaderplus.exe" and "WowMon.dll" and paste in your Halo 2 directory.

B)-Right Click on "XP PLAY HALO 2.bat"(loacated in Halo2 Install directory) file and choose "edit" then change line "loader.exe halo2.exe" to "loaderplus.exe halo2.exe" and save change.

C)-Start Game By clicking "XP PLAY HALO 2.bat this allows level 12 to be played on XP."

After that is ... playtime

i already added the MF.dll or mf.dll to the halo 2 folder...

my question is since i downloaded and extraced the first fx to a USB, where do i move the mf.dll file?

i can help if u use vista i think the only prb is dat that vista uses direct x 10 you have to go to the micorsoft weby n=and look work direct x 9 and it will work u migh tthe graphics change but it doesnt itz just the program that runs your graphics

Hay.... whoever you are don't you ever think about downloading it. Like "Citrus" I did all the things which are said to do, but it did not work. If you are reading this, then you should know something, trying to download "halo2" from here is nothing but wasting time.

for vista remove the dwmapi.dll file out the folder and then run halo.exe will work fine. If your on xp i can post that up too.

THis doesn't work. Tried everything. Just for the record, DOPEMAN's torrents have NEVER worked for me.

Complete Halo 2 installation 1. Go to http://www.directx9soft.info/uk/ download the Directx and install it. Such as C:/Program file/ 2. Unrar, that mean you have to move EVERYTHING in a “Yellow folder” in your computer. 3. go to “INSTALL THESE FIRST” and Install “XLiveRedist1.0.6027.msi”, Then you install “vcredist.msi” 4. If you are Window XP all you need is to click “XP PLAY HALO 2 MS-DOS Batch File” in the HALO 2 folder 5. HOWEVER, if you are VISTA you need to remove “dwmapi.dll” in the Halo 2 folder and you are starting the game by clicking “halo2.exe” in the halo 2 folder. 6. IF you follow my step should bring you to the game. HOWEVER, in mission 3. It asks you for the CD’s. In this case, you need to go back to the “ISOHUNT.COM” Search for [PC] Halo 2 XP ACTIVATION FIX [crejbi] [dopeman] You will need to download that fix. 7. In this fix put the “mf.dll” in the “System 32” folder. Some people might wonder where is it? It is at C: /WINDOWS/System32 in some case some people are never go in this folder you need to open it by click the link in the window folder. 8. The feds are only particularly worried about catching the people that are ripping this stuff off and putting it on the internet, if they spent their days busting everyone for downloading illegal games music and software they would be busy until the end of the computer age... I'd recommend peer guardian to uploaders. or people who download all the time and have like 200,000 dollars worth of stolen information, i don't download alot, and they would have to spend more money to come all the way here and get me then they would actually make on the fine.
