Thank you very much for keeping up the posting of In Treatment. A question to everybody that read these comments: when movies are downloaded, there are times that an additional file containing the close captioning of said movie. How can I sychronize the close captioning with the movie? Do I need a special program to do so? Appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Depends on what format the subtitles are. If they're srt format, put them in the same folder as the video file, rename both to the same name, and just open the video file in whatever media player you want. You may need codecs, I would recommend the K-Lite Standard Codec Pack (Google search), it's what I use. If you mean that the subtitles are out of sync, use Subtitle Workshop and correct the time delay (you can also use it to convert between subtitle formats). If nothing works, get VLC Player, open the video file/subtitle file simultaneously (add a time delay in the advanced settings for the subtitles file) and enjoy.

Chandlerfx, is there any way in which from the VLC player a movie w/the captions in the srt file can be transferred to a DVD? Appreciate your comments.

I'm not really sure what you mean, but I'm going to assume you want to burn the video file/subtitles together onto a DVD that you can play on any standard DVD player. If this is what you want, I'd recommend ConvertXtoDVD. It's simple, straightforward, and probably the best "one-click-burn" software available. Put the subtitle file along with the video file in the same folder, and simply drag the video file to the ConvertXtoDVD window. The program should automatically pick up the subtitles and burn them with the video (expand the data tree that pops up in the window and you can see if the subtitles are attached). Of course, ConvertXtoDVD isn't free, but I doubt that's really a problem...
