This disc is not bootable. one can easily use vLite to make it bootable though. also i doesn't have hyper-V but instead has all three version (Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter) plus core version of all these three versions.

hmm.. i can't seem to get it working. i've done all the steps explained by a1355, but when i want to make the iso, vlite says "verification failed", maybe something is wrong the iso?? i did however manage to burn it, but it wouldnt install either, it says several files are missing.

also, you can download this directly from microsoft's site with a much faster download speed than you can with torrent. i'm getting 1.2 MB/s dling straight from Microsoft. no sense using a torrent with bad seeders.

@ MRGuv Did you even read that article on temporarily bypassing activation??? It is actually named incorrectly. This article is about how to activate after the trial period is up. <----(you need a product key) It shows you how to use the command prompt to get the activation GUI to start (as if this was some super-secret backdoor way to use a Windows OS) There is no bypassing of any kind

There is no working crack/keygen with MS Server 2008 (any edition). Microsoft has so far succeeded in preventing cracking of Server 2008 (and still being able to maintain server capabilities). In other words, dont waste your time downloading it right now. Wait a month or two.

How to make it a Bootable DVD: Download latest vLite: http://nlite.boot-land.net/vlite/vLite-1.1.1.installer.exe Copy contents of "Windows.Server.2008.x64.iso" to a folder. Open vLite. Browse to folder with ISO contents (windows installation files). A screen will pop up with 6 choices, choose whether you want Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, with or w/o Hyper-V (CORE is without) Click Next. At task selection screen ONLY select "Bootable ISO" Click Next. At bottom right, click "Make ISO". Save it to disk. You now have a bootable copy of Server 2008 x64.
