it should ask when you're in photoshop and you are using lucisart. when you try to apply effect to your image it should ask for a serial.

***DO NOT INSTALL THI**** IT LOOKS LIKE A WORKING VERSION -- BUT HAS BEEN DELIBERATELY PUT HERE BY LUCIS TO "TEACH US A LESSON". RESULTS WILL APPEAR OK IN PREVIEW, BUT END UP POSTERIZED. ONCE YOU'VE INSTALLED IT YOU CAN'T INSTALL THE LEGAL VERSION WITHOUT A REFORMAT.

OK I'll stop shouting now! I'm calm... If you have installed the "revenge" version Lucis have distributed, you *can* remove it by deleting the plug-in then using regedit to remove Image Content Technology" and its contents. Download the demo from Lucis' site and use the serial kindly posted above by rebelx. I was waiting to buy Lucis Pro 6.0, but I don't trust a company that would pull a stunt like this with $595 of my *****.

Be careful. The software developers are aware of the serial numbers in circulation and have fixed the plug-in to corrupt the output image. This is from the ICT technical support website: ..... years ago ICT found that there was illegal or hacked LucisArt software posted on the Internet that will process the image without asking for a serial number. The processed image from the illegal LucisArt will not look like the image in the preview window. You will see large gray and black areas in the processed image. And even if you buy LucisArt the software will not work once illegal software has been installed. The illegal software corrupts part of the computer that LucisArt accesses.

Also this is from the retouchpro.com forum : The only time that I have seen this problem is with some illegal (cracked) copies of LucisArt. The image in the preview window looks fine but when you process the image it comes out all corrupted. If you have installed one of these illegal copies of LucisArt you won't be able to install a valid copy of LucisArt either. The illegal copy of LucisArt corrupts some files in the computer. I found this out the hard way several years ago with a customer who lied and said that he had not installed an illegal copy but after my software engineer worked with him it was clear that he had. That is how I found out about this problem. I also now know how to fix this problem and I charge $100 to fix it. One customer did not wish to pay this and he reformatted his computer.It is disheartening to me to hear that people are sharing valid LucisArt serial numbers.
