The film "In the Valley of Elah" tells us about a retired officer Hank, veteran of Vietnam. He searches for his missing son, who returned from the war in Iraq, but disappeared from the military base of his parts. Soon it has been found a charred and dismembered body of Hank’s son. Unable to find any support in the military prosecutor's office nor the police, the main character himself is conducting an investigation. His only companion and assistant is detective Emily Sanders. What are the shocking details will be opened in the course of this investigation? Picture of director and screenwriter Paul Heggis "In the Valley of Elah", famous for his sharp social drama "Crash" (2005), based on a real investigation of Lanny Davis, whose son Richard was subjected to the barbaric massacre of his colleagues during firing. The movie did not even hit the terrible details of the criminal case and not in everyday use cinematic technique condemnation of war as such through the prism of "private war stories." Heggis like Brian De Palma in similar topics illustrates the loss of moral values of young generation of the USA in the short time of anything goes. In the film "In the Valley of Elah" were played Tommy Lee Jones ("Men in Black") and Charlize Theron ("Devil's Advocate").
