I'm having the same strange problem? The tracks will play in vlc player, but can't play in media monkey, itunes or winamp?? Any ideas?

I'm also having this problem both with iTunes and my Zune software. "Invalid media type" is what I'm getting. Any solutions? Thanks for your help.

i just converted the files to m4a with WinFF...they loaded up in itunes fine.

First of all make sure you can modify file extensions : open Windows' Start menu, select Run.... Type in "explorer" (without the quotes) in the 'Tools' menu, select folder options then click on View Deselect the option "hide file extensions for known file types" Then right click the songs and select "rename" and change the ".mp3" to ".m4a"
