Hello People.. I see a few people had problems with this game on XP Well so did I but I got around it pretty easy.. its all on the compatibility.. The Frist thing wrong was the install. it wouldn't display the correct Freespace on my drives and no matter what drive i changed to it wouldn't update the info...And also gave error No free space So if you are having this problem Turn on the compatility on the setup.exe TO WIN98 and run that... (then you should be able to install on any drive and folder) After you installed, copy the kain.exe in the Xp patch folder, To your installed kain folder.. It is the same size but trust me it will not work without doing this step then after that you make a new short-cut and to turn on compatibility again to WIN98 (Or if you like and could turn on the compatibility on the short-cut in you start menu.. that was made by the installer).. and thats it.. have fun

heys menasor! i've good news for you! well, when the game freezes at the tavern, just as you described before, i pressed the "inicio" button (that's between the left "Ctrl" and the left "Alt" and then i cliked on the game task again and it was working. I double checked and it works fine. So, everytime something like that happens (it'll happen a lot i guess, because i had to do it twice in 3 minutes of gameplay) you just have to "alt+tab" and re-enter the game window and it'll be running fine!! I don't have the whole disc intalled, I just downloaded a really small non install version without the movies to see if it worked!! hope it works for you too!!

right downloaded, installed it, got it to run. am able to use the directional keys to navigate the menu's, and start the game, but once the barman says "Tavern's closed for the night, best be on your way stranger." nothing more happens, the barman walks back and forward, but none of the controls will respond. anybody have any suggestions? and yes i have tried using a USB joypad as well. it detected fine, but same result.

I'm sorry my friend.... I guess some computers have simply too strong processors. My is 1 GHz and maybe that's why it worked
