Newartriot, For a nice looking movie- let's say roughly 2 hours long with a size of around 1gb, I am currently using: level=40ef=2:mixed-refs:bframes=2:bime:weightb:b-rdo:direct=auto: b-pyramid:me=umh:subme=6:analyse=all:8x8dct:trellis=1:no-fast-pskip: filter=-2,-1:aq-strength=0.5:aq-sensitivity=5.0 This is using a PS3 preset (for xbox 360, too). I'm at 1000 kbps, using turbo 1st pass. On the second pass, I average less than 10fps on a 3.2 p4 laptop. Pretty slow. With a fast machine, say a core 2 duo, that time decreases by more than half. I need to get a new machine! Of course, encoding time varies depending on the options, as you know. So I suppose I could squeeze stuff down even more using more extreme settings, while maintaining nice quality. If you're interested, and don't already know, I can throw some of the settings your way. Have fun. And thanks for all the awesome uploads!

I've recently converted over to newartriot releases. The H.264 codec is far superior over the DivX codec. I'm also redownloading movies that I've already downloaded and watched, just to rewatch them with the H.264 codec. The new Futurama movie that newartriot released shocked me after I compared it to a DivX version. Newartriot please continue to release movies that are over a GB. The 700MB movies are not good enough for larger HD LCD screens. I don't mind waiting another 1-2 hours to get a higher quality 1.09GB or 1.45GB movie.
