When I select a group of soldiers I cannot change their formation, order them to hold position etc. There are no buttons for this in the lower left corner like there should be. Is there a way to fix this? And can you play it online? Good torrent by the way! ;-)

sarcasm. ''hard to install'' means its already installed to the folder. Extract to a folder, run the empires2.exe or whateva it is, and play. doesn't need to be installed. Scanned with NOD32, and Trend Micro 2008. NO VIRUS'S, NO SPYWARE, NO ADWARE. extract to a folder, place folder where ever you want, copy the .exe to the desktop (or where ever), start playing Age of Empires II. Thank you for this AWESOME release. It's so hard to install though! (sacrcasm.)

its not a stand alone application, its a game. I'm not sure what you are talking about. This is a winrar file, when you unrar the file, it will be a cd image.

This is NOT a .RAR file. This is a .ZIP file. You may be able to open it with winrar because it figures out that you are a dumb ass by giving it a .rar extension when the contents are a .zip and it silently compensates for the error. Well, *you* aren't actually the dumb ass, you just want to play AOE But if you cannot extract this file, rename it to .zip and try again. You can use winzip, pkunzip (probably) linux/unix unzip (info-zip.org), etc.

Hey does anyone hear backgrund music when they are in a mission.All sounds play except background music while in mission. When game starts then only i can hear , as soon as i click the campaign the music stops. plz i have a great problem on this for past 4 years. background is not at all plays and is not available in the game folders. Dont waste time in this. Use the mdf which is a clone of the original cd. That is all the safedisc protections have been cracked using mdf. So it will look like u r actually laying with a original cd. Just use deamon tool to mount it. Has all Background music which no other torrent has because the background music requires the original cd. U wont be let down by this torrent.
