Oh no!!!!!!! Does not! After some time the program blocks catalog file (setting password there and owner name: "Warez user"). A spend much time to add CD's there and now it's all gone :(

DO NOT USE! Use older versions that are portable or cracked. All this 'crack' does is install a serial# which will eventually be blacklisted. Even older versions of Whereisit? are known to become 'Unregistered' after Whereisit? 'phones home' to check the serial#, and if found to be blacklisted, it will password protect your records with UN: warezuser, PW: unknown (probably random). Starting with 3.90, in addition to locking your data files, it will give you a fake BSOD when you attempt to read the catalog of a new disc into your records. You've been warned.

If U got "Warez User" password protected catalog to unblock catalogs use cracked version 3.53!!! http://depositfiles.com/files/1849155 Open locked catalog/ Go to it's properties, click on Icon "Lock". When asked password - click "Ok". Select "Allow full access". Save your catalog. That's all. ;)

I never had luck with Whereisit. I used several versions, all ended with locked catalogs. The "call home" feature is quite mysterious, even if i block whereisit with my firewall from accessing the web it still gets blacklisted somehow. I read somewhere that version 3.73 "retail" may be the last usable version. There are no real free alternatives for this nice piece of software, congratulations for the makers, excellent crack protection.

just create a backup of *.CTF files everytime u update a catalog so when it password protect, all u gotta do is overwrite it with your backups

One thing I dislike with Whisit is that it does not give the track number with the name (audio cds) I tried to buy the program and pay for it. I didn't receive the key file. Once contacted the author Robert Galle said "I don't want to sell a licence to you cause I don't like your email address"! More than one person reports that he is quite paranoiac. the only thing he decerves is a generic crack or keygen. Don't use this piece of sheet, don't buy it!

By the way This prog is a real challenge for all of you clever guys. Up to me cracking the beast needs reverse engineering and deep code analysis. If you have a working key : DO NOT UPGRADE the program! Once the key is found fake a file is created in the prog directory named "licence key fake" then you can only open one catalog at a time. So save your key and when this happen copy it again and erase the "fake" file. Good luck
