O&O Defrag is set up so that you can actually defrag over a network which is why programs such as Zone Alarm or other firewalls will tell you it's trying to access the 'trusted zone' or something similar. If you don't allow it access the drives won't even show up. It's not a bug and it's not a virus. This has been their method of operation since the inception of the program. I've been using it since around version 6 and it always gets the job done quickly and efficiently.

I can confirm that this installer doesn't work for 64-bit Vista. Installer halts after configuration with error message: "This Software requires Windows 2000 or better" Actually he's right, Vista64 is worse... ;)

I get the same vista 64 bit error message as mentioned above for 64 bit xp... Guess it doesnt work for 64 bit os... anyone else verify this?

@KINDERKILLER I use linux too.... Why would you be downloading a windows defrag program for an OS that doesn't *ever* require defragging? You're right tho, Vista does blow hard.

Hi, Two serials provided in txt, I used the second serial and it worked perfectly. The software recognised the serial as a 1000 user licence. Currently defragging C drive, no problems so far; the software seems to be both quick and efficient at doing its job. Thanks for sharing!

Well, i'm sorry my bad, o&o defrag is fine, the big problem above have been caused by viruses, but the viruses have nothing to do with o&o defrag. Once again, the serial works .

First of all, thanks shankjunk, the serial works without any problems. the problem is, the taskbar disappeared, and the desktop doesn't show my computer, etc etc that happened seconds after i installed o&o defrag and it increase the degree of fragmentation !!!!!! and, i run the all 5 method of the defragmentation, especially defrag by date modified then, in the middle of the defrag which was tooking 30 minutes to reach 5% in one drive from 6, i cancelled the program, and i was open one browser page, the page hanged, the problem happened, then here i'm in the middle of the dark, which method from the 5 are you using people? and did i do something wrong because i used defrag by date modified ? if yes. can i still fix this problem without formating? which method shoud i supposed to use to restore what o&o defrag did? I done system restore, and everything in tuneup utilities 2008, still the same problem you have the choice to help me. thanks,
