- IMPORTANT! i got it to wor on vist basicly wen installed, right click the desktop icon then click propperties. then click the compatibillity tab check the: 1.disable desktop coposition, 2.run as administrator 3.run this programe in compatibility mode for: service pack 2 should run then few bugs
- Instalation goes OK, and by following the instructions given by pezmaster1, it seems to go well on its way but then just before anything opens it gives me the following error: A licence error has occurred. You must uninstall an reinstall this product to initalise licence management system. I have done that allready but nothing happens. I would appreciate any suggestions?

- you probably have a 32 bit machine. cant get ne better than the computer can take. my graphics cards causing a bug where the screen dont show, so im going to try it on a pc instead of the laptop

Do yourselves a favor and downgrade to XP pro. Also people, use Peerguardian 2. Someone recommended it in another torrent. Haven't had data problems since. Doesn't slow your downloads up and keeps anti-p2p peers from messing with the uploaded/downloaded data and it's free.

- hey..thanks for uploading.. i have some problems tho (most probably thanks entirely to my own idiocy) i put the wrong serial number by accident and restarted the prog..so when i keyed in the activation code i got from the keygen, it didnt work (obviously). now i cant correct the serial number because the text box that i used the first time to key in the serial number isnt there anymore. anyone got suggestions on how to get around this? cheers!

- Hey I just downlaoded the torrent. I had already installed the trail verson of 3ds Max from their website before I downloaded this. I stared up the keygen that came in the torrent. I went into 3ds Max and it asked me if I wanted to activate the product or run it. I choose activate and it took me to the page. It said my serial number was 000-00000000 and my request code was N1J0 WNHH UUH0 P653 8N4L 48H2 and then it shows the boxes to enter the serial number or Group ID and the box to enter the activation code. From here I used the keygen to enter my request code and hit calculate. It gave me the message REQUEST CODE ERROR! I am using vista home premium and have all of the files I need. Does anyone know what I did wrong, and how I can fix it?

- Awsome (once you get it working). Use Vista and worked perfectly after downloading SP2. Do have to run it as administrator though which is a pain but necessary. For the keygen, just type it in rather than copy and paste though, works a treat then.

- jz finish dwon loading and i installed it already, i follow #47.. peace of cake mate..=) by the way dont "copy" as in ctrl + c the request code.. u must type it one by one to calculate it in the keygen. and also when you have already the 32 digit code. dont just copy paste it.. u must also type it one by one to the registration form.. only 32 digit is enough and Max will fully oprational.

- Wow. I thought this torrent might have some interesting comments. There is a FORUMS at Autodesk for help for their freakin' SOFTWARE, kids! And you can GOOGLE how to mount an image or put a cd in a tray- if you don't know how to do that you're really in the wrong part of the internet, which is why no one has helped you. Well, actually they have- two people specifically told you how to do EVERYTHING NEEDED to get this to work. Vista users? You've been p@wned and 0//||3D. XP users no problems with this one, unless you're using other autodesk products (it's hard to go back from 3dsm 2008)
- I was really happy when i got this torrent to work. Having worked on a legal copy of max i loved the program but got tired of getting it authorized for every little thing. The big help for me was following the instructions in comment 47. After an incorrect authorization it is important to close the application and relaunch it. The next time it will work.

I got it working. first things first make sure you have sp1 for vista. download 2ds max use instructions for #47 post (thanks by the way) for vista users were not done yet, but the rest is actually easier. make sure the program is under windows xp sp2 and running under admin. go to autodesk.com. . . .actually heres the link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=9593622&linkID=9241177#section4 download it (make sure its in english) after all that it should work with little or no bugs.

- Awsome (once you get it working). Use Vista and worked perfectly after downloading SP2. Do have to run it as administrator though which is a pain but necessary. For the keygen, just type it in rather than copy and paste though, works a treat then.

- Wow. I thought this torrent might have some interesting comments. There is a FORUMS at Autodesk for help for their freakin' SOFTWARE, kids! And you can GOOGLE how to mount an image or put a cd in a tray- if you don't know how to do that you're really in the wrong part of the internet, which is why no one has helped you. Well, actually they have- two people specifically told you how to do EVERYTHING NEEDED to get this to work. Vista users? You've been p@wned and 0//||3D. XP users no problems with this one, unless you're using other autodesk products (it's hard to go back from 3dsm 2008)
- I was really happy when i got this torrent to work. Having worked on a legal copy of max i loved the program but got tired of getting it authorized for every little thing. The big help for me was following the instructions in comment 47. After an incorrect authorization it is important to close the application and relaunch it. The next time it will work.

I got it working. first things first make sure you have sp1 for vista. download 2ds max use instructions for #47 post (thanks by the way) for vista users were not done yet, but the rest is actually easier. make sure the program is under windows xp sp2 and running under admin. go to autodesk.com. . . .actually heres the link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=9593622&linkID=9241177#section4 download it (make sure its in english) after all that it should work with little or no bugs.

- IMPORTANT! i got it to wor on vist basicly wen installed, right click the desktop icon then click propperties. then click the compatibillity tab check the: 1.disable desktop coposition, 2.run as administrator 3.run this programe in compatibility mode for: service pack 2 should run then few bugs

Do yourselves a favor and downgrade to XP pro. Also people, use Peerguardian 2. Someone recommended it in another torrent. Haven't had data problems since. Feb 08 2008 at 06:04 by kolipoki (mininova.org)hey..thanks for uploading.. i have some problems tho (most probably thanks entirely to my own idiocy) i put the wrong serial number by accident and restarted the prog..so when i keyed in the activation code i got from the keygen, it didnt work (obviously). now i cant correct the serial number because the text box that i used the first time to key in the serial number isnt there anymore. anyone got suggestions on how to get around this? cheers!

I wouldn't touch that dang OS right now if you paid me. Do yourselves a favor and downgrade to XP pro. Also people, use Peerguardian 2. Someone recommended it in another torrent. Haven't had data problems since. Doesn't slow your downloads up and keeps anti-p2p peers from messing with the uploaded/downloaded data and it's free.

And you can GOOGLE how to mount an image or put a cd in a tray- if you don't know how to do that you're really in the wrong part of the internet, which is why no one has helped you. Well, actually they have- two people specifically told you how to do EVERYTHING NEEDED to get this to work. Vista users? You've been p@wned and 0//||3D. XP users no problems with this one, unless you're using other autodesk products (it's hard to go back from 3dsm 2008)

Having worked on a legal copy of max i loved the program but got tired of getting it authorized for every little thing. The big help for me was following the instructions in comment 47. After an incorrect authorization it is important to close the application and relaunch it. The next time it will work.

Once I downloaded a version of 3ds, and it installed without problem till I rebooted and had lost my mouse, modem drivers, my network driver, my wireless driver and was stuck in a 640 x 480 resolution. It functionally crippled my computer and cut it off from the internet. Most alarming, most of the system security checks services were gone, and all system restore points were gone. Simply because something isn't a virus, it doesn't mean that it is not a piece of software designed to trash you once you give it permission. Learned my lesson! No more pirating programs for me.
