I am ashamed to say that I used to be a creationist. I've since come to terms with science. I'm still a Christian, but I realize science and the Bible don't have to contradict. psylynx; Hovind is a criminal, not a scientist, or intelligent person at all. he's full of bullshit and doesn't deserve anyone's time.

interesting stuff, I think evolution is not science, and therefore should not be taught in biologie clas but in filosofi or something like that. It is a shame that a lot of people have lost their believe and in God by this evolution-theorie. It is time to analyse this evolution-theorie, I personally think that evolution-theorie is science-fiction. ps. There is no room for debate. If you are a creationist you have the IQ of a peanut(i apologize to all the peanuts out there). Fossil records, Radio-carbon dating, DNA polymorphisms, leftover traits from eariler evolutions(such as apdendexies, tonsils, etc.. etc..), artifacts from before 5000 years ago, molecular decay of elements with very long half-lifes(i.e. uranium), the fact that DNA tests have been run DIRECTLY linking both cromagnan and neanderthalto modern day humans, the fact that chimpanzees are 99.9% genetically identical to humans. There is NO debate. PERIOD. Go ahead and believe in god if u want(personally the whole idea to me is complete hogwash, but im not one to rag on people's religion). But you have to realize that the bible was written by MAN not any god. And on top of it, to take these stories literally, is to completly miss the point.

It's symbolism. Noah's ark is a story about redemtion, its not a factual story about a dude get 2 of each animal on earth, which is impossible considing in modern day there are still TONS of undiscovered species. Even if u get 2 of every animal, insect, microbacteria, etc..., there wouldn't be enough genetic diveresty for any of them to survive. They would be inbred to the point where none of them would even be able breath, there hearts wouldnt fuction properly(you get the idea). These are stories to try to help people through tough times, NOT history.
