I have read the instructions and have not had a problem until I decided to install Open for Business. I've installed in all order and I can actually install the game but when it comes to playing it (I always check to make sure the expansion works before installing another) it prompts me to put a disk in the drive. I don't replace with the cracked exe because I want to continue to install, however I do keep the iso mounted. However I have tried replacing with the cracked exe once and downloading a completely different no-cd crack. I would skip Open for Biz but I tried to move on to Family Stuff and I have the same problem. Is Maxis getting smarter with their anti piracy stuff?

I only installed Glamour, Pets and Seasons (I had them three on EA Downloader Manager which won't let me install them, and the others I have on CD) but when I try and run the game it does the EA sign and the Sims 2 video thing but then I get an error box but it doesn't say anything and I can't run the game. the application won't let me finish installation of Sims 2 University because it automatically goes to a window requesting Sims 2 CD 4 in order to update. i try to comply by mounting Sims 2 CD 4, but it does not recognize it. i know that i already have a patch for this update, making this window useless, but i cannot use it because this window keeps coming up and uninstalls Sims 2 University when I close it. what is the cause of this error? is this related to the placement of folders in which I extracted the files?

ksaebin: when you mount SIMS 2 CD 1, it's like telling the computer that the CD is in. Now you have to go to the AutoRun.exe file inside to begin installation. Then proceed to follow instructions.

Why include both Christmas Party Pack and Happy Holiday Stuff? Happy Holiday Stuff already has everything in the Christmas Party Pack plus the additional items from the Happy Holiday Mini Pack. Could save yourself ~70mb on redundant stuff.

Hi! I am having a problem with this. I am using Alchohol 120%..and I did the whole mounting thing...so now, it asks me for CD2..I go ahead and mount it..about a couple seconds a pop up ...comes up! It says " A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Sims3D\Sims11.package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?" What do I do?..Thanks! Oh and I have tried "Retry"..all it does is up my percent (like 34%done to 35% done)(I'm now on 47% it says!)...but it doesn't help! Thanks... Help please

Ok, so far I might be the only person who found this out. The reason that the update patch for sims 2 doesn't work after you install it is because you have another program interferring, like Power Iso. I had to uninstall power iso and just use daemon tools. If you have any DVD/CD mounting program other than Daemon tools I would advise to unistall it in order for the update patches to work. Then reinstall when you need it. and your welcome

Okay. The instructions are VERY poorly written. Do you use the patches after each expansion pack that you install. Aka Install sims 2, patch it, install university, patch it, install nightlife, patch it OR do you just install all the expansions up to BON VOYAGE, patch it, then copy the crack to the folder ?

HI, can someone help me please, I have installed the sims 2 fine but at the end of installing the 2nd disc of university, it asks for an update. I lost my manual and then tryed to uplaod Sims2 Teen Style Stuff and of course it denied me because i didn't no the serial #, now i have the serial # but when i try to download it nothing came up. i even did what it tells you to do if AutoRun doesn't come up, but it didn't work either! Please if you know how to get it to come up tell me???

@AfterLife08 - I was hoping you could help me with a problem - when I mount Sims 2 CD 1 with Daemon I am not able to autorun it - nothing pops up saying to run and when I go to Computer then drive F it says the file needs to be formatted - Im not sure wether or not this is where I should do it but like I said nothing pops up after I mount it - And I had the sims 2 from before but now thats not even working - what have I messed up and how do I fix it Thanks for your time

okay. so i finally got everything loaded, no problems, applied the crack to Bon Voyage and when i go to run it i have the same problem as Shmeetard. the game just crashes. no error pop-ups, nothing. any thoughts anyone?

Oh and a little advice for all who allready have original sims 2 game.... when you download this torrent be sure that you unchek items that you allready have...so i unchek sims 2, stuff packs, nightlife, deamon tools, instructions (i know how it works), patches... why did i unchek patches because i allready own sims 2 original cd and IMAGE file so that my sims can stay up to date and that is it...Cause it works fine you guys are just dumb =) and don't know how to install...Read instructions that's all and if you can't do that either, why don't you just buy the game...Cheers... What if you just add the daeman tools and some of the other things? Because I already downloaded the first patch and it took around a whole week to download and I have really good internet. It slowed it down, plus took forever. Is there a way to download it faster?

Hi, if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I already had up to nightlife installed. I installed Daemon tools, mounted Open for Business put in key etc and got up to checking the Sims 2 is up to date, which it is. Then it says: "please ensure the Sims 2 Open for business is the disk drive, press ok and restart" I cant get past this problem. I tried Pets too, same issue. Advice please?
