With regards to people being unable to Extract the archive(s), which I also had problems with on Vista, I was successfully able to extract the files, simply by Running WinRar As Administrator, right click on the Winrar.exe and choose run as admin, worked a treat for me.

I couldn't extract the whole PES2008.7z file, so i extracted the img folder first, which was the one giving me trouble, then the PES2008.PNG file, the setup.reg file and finally the .exe files.. I don't know why it worked but it did, so good luck.. and for those who need the d3dx9_30.ddl file, you can search for it on google.. sorry if my english isn't right, i do not speak it.. Thanks dopeman!! the game is great.

I had the same problem. I installed the game into mydocuments. So on the second try, I installed it into Programme Files and from there on it worked fine. So I'm not sure if it's to do with placing it in the wrong place, but putting it simply in Programme Files with a simple click to get to it made it work for me, so install it into there. My video card isn't great either and when I click the game it tells me something and asks me to retry, cancel or ignore. If you have this problem, click ignore. It'll load the game and play fine. Works fine for me now, except there's no fans what so ever in the stadium, yet there's the sound of thousands of fans. Not that it's a big deal to me and I'm guessing it's down to my video card. So yeah, brilliant upload Dopeman, thank's for it :-) - Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 soon hopefully :-)

Tweaking the reg to "Program Files (x86)" <as this is where non native 64bit games get installed> doesnt resolve this. Reg entry will most likely need to be re-written. It'd take 2 seconds for someone who is more familiar with x64 registry structure. lolz...but who are we to complain > works ok on 32 bit vista and xp btw

Secondly this isnt an ordinary installed game. Its a wierd way he has done it, which dosnt allow patching or unfortuantley MP support. THAT MEANS NO INTERNET PLAY. Poor version of the game. and i recommend if you dont mind a bigger file getting a 'full' version. Other than that :p Great upload!

It come up with a saving directory, chose where you will like to put the pro evolution soccer 2008 game file in preferably in My Documents. Then press Ok.It should start extracting.(if it doesnt click the file pes08.7z twice and it should work. When it finishes go to the folder you saved pro evolution soccer 2008 and You should see four files. Open regsetup with notepad. Dopeman has put several words there. There is a sentence where dopeman writes something like a saving directory. Use the instruction there and write where you put pro evolution soccer 2008. For example I saved my pro evolution soccer 2008 in My documents, I will put "C://My Documents//Pro Evolution Soccer 2008" After you do that save it. And close it. This time click on regsetup and open it with "registery ......" It will give you this warning but press ok. Open the file setup. It will coem up with a window of seting of display chose your desired mode sucjh as full screen or window and then click on controls and chose your desired controls. (Hint, the controls are in xbox style).If you have a gamepad there is an option. When finished press Ok. and close if it is not automatic Then click the file that says Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 application. I've followed the instructions to the letter (I know what I'm doing - I got it working first time on my XP pc) but when I click on the .exe after editing, saving and entering the registry entries, I just get a message that says the program isn't installed :-( Still, it does work on XP so it's a +1 and a thanks from me. Any Vista help/tips would be welcome. Thanks, Andy
