Got this from PB and it works great.need to unzip file by file and when installed block it internet acc, otherwise it will connect to Nero and the windows will keep hounding you.

If you want Nero 8 Lite, choose custom installation and install ONLY Nero burning Rom. Get rid of Nero Scout: The first thing to do is to disable Nero Scout via its own interface. To do so, double-click on the My Computer icon. Right-click on the Nero Scout icon and choose Options. Then uncheck the option for Enable Nero Scout. DO NOT UPDATE! If you update, the update will install all rest unnecessary fucking shit and Nero works in DEMO MODE!

Nero Scout is _REALLY_ annoying. I appreciate you telling people how to get rid of it. Scout chews up CPU cycles and disk IO time, and generally slows your computer down to a 200 Mhz Pentium.

How do I know if I have the Ultra Edition. Because I installed it and entered serial code from Keygen. But it said Nero 8 Installation, not Nero 8 Ultra Edition.

No, this does NOT work. I'm trying to find a way around to the Key issue... Here is the thing: This torrent has the trial version and a keygen in it. When you apply your key while installing Nero or after you have finish installing it, Nero Start Smart will not work. It will give you an error: Warning: GetConfigSet() failed! - (line: 260, file.\NSSModel.cpp) I also tried to get the All LANGUAGES installer from nero.com installed with exacly the same result. I believe that if you add or change the trial key for one of those obtained from the keygen, Nero start smart will not work... I'm still working on getting a 100% functional installer. As soon as I find a way around I will upload a torrent for you guys... Keep tuned

If your having troubles with this installer, go to nero.com and download a demo (about178mb). Install, delete the serial# in the demo version and use the serial# from this download. TOPIC: NERO 8 INSTALLATION FOR DUMMIES hello fellow pirates.....arrgghh!! I just downloaded this n its working. the extraction process is complicated and confusing so watch carefully. in the file you downloaded you will find 36 zipped files and 2 nfos. extract the file 'e-ne8101', in the extracted file you will find 2 nfos, 'keymaker.exe' and 'embrace.rar' do not do anything to this files yet. go back to the previous folder and highlight the files 'e-ne8102' to 'e-ne8136' and extract them all at once NOT 1 by 1. there will be a popup, just press yes to all. after extraction you fill find a file named 'Ahead.Nero.v8.1.1.0.Ultra.Edition.Incl' when you open this file you will find 1 nfo and 34 embrace zipped files. dont do anything yet. Go back to the extracted file 'e-ne8101', copy paste the embrace.rar file into the 'Ahead Nero bla bla bla' now extract the 'embrace.rar'. after extraction you will find a folder named 'embrace'. open it. you will find a file called 'Nero-8.1.1.0_eng_trial.exe'. copy paste this file into the previous folder that contains 34 embrace zipped files. Ahh...Finally open the file 'Nero-8.1.1.0_eng_trial.exe' follow the installation process. im sure you guys know how to install programs. use any key from the 'keymaker.exe' to turn the installation into ultra edition. Enjoy the program. With all due respect 'loder', you should have given us detailed instructions...you dummie!! N.B 1.These files do not have any type viruses 2.Do not download any updates from the internet, your program will be blacklisted n disabled 3.I haven't tested nero 8's features yet. It is related to a faulty installation of the MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Service) on the system. It can be can be resolved by installing MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 and Security Update (KB936181) available from the MS knowledgebase website - http://support.microsoft.com/

I did was Kidder said and removed the NeroPatentActivation.exe, but now that I'm trying to burn a home-made movie (slide show with music) and burn it as a dvd, it's telling me that it needs that .exe file to execute a 1-time authorization online for "patents".
