I haven't seen the aired episode, but a preair could have many differences. The music, the editing... Sometimes there's new shots re-recorded.

I've been torrenting from my colo'd server for quite awhile, always uploading at least 5-10x or more what I download. Suddenly, just this Dexter torrent will not start up. I can't figure out why. Other torrents (like cold case last night) started and completed fine. Can anyone give me some things to try or look at? Thanks. I need my Dexter fix!

Don't bother downloading this version -- it's a terrible encoding, at least two scenes (the first body found on the rocks and the underwater scuba scene) are completely torn up with missing sections, etc. I tried on three different players, including the very latest VLC. I know what I'm doing. It is NOT my software. This encoding is just bungled. The VTV copy going around is the same exact file, and it's no better; even though it had the same file size and I expected it to be the same story, I tried it anyway and my fears were confirmed. If you really have no other options then this file is watchable but you will be frustrated at the stuff you will miss due to the 'skips' and you won't want this for your collection, that's for sure! If somebody knows of a better encoded non-private version of this episode that is not the pre-air version (there may be differences) please post it here! Thx.

Yup just loaded the DEXTER S02E01 PROPER HDTV XviD-SYS, and the scuba scene works fine. With this Xvid-XOR[eztv] version, you actually miss a lot of "parts"! http://www.mininova.org/tor/918537
