So I can install the game and play the tutorial but when I try the campaign it just plays the starting video and after the ending credits or just closes down. How do you fix this! help

4 of us got errors running setup.bat... its clearly buggy. at the top of the batch file it states: ren *.x *.exe >nul IF ERRORLEVEL 3 GOTO THREE IF ERRORLEVEL 2 GOTO TWO IF ERRORLEVEL 1 GOTO ONE But there are no files with *.x in the directory so it errors out. I deleted everything in setup.bat that says "IF ERRORLEVEL..." and everything that says "DEL..." and basically shortened the batch file way down and then it ran perfectly on all of our machines... then we discovered that it doesn't work for LAN games and just deleted it anyways.

Took about 6hrs to dwnld and 50 mins to install. Works great and its a sick game. Thanks to Gizmolio for the up and of course to all the seeders.

You have to run setup.bat file after you have extracted the archive included in the torrent. Then wait until it completes (which took about 10-20 mins if i remember correctly). I suggest that you delete the extracted files (since it can't possibly take 12 hours) and redo the steps mentioned in the readme file. You start the game using wic.exe file. And if I'm not mistaken, 'cannot locate game data' error only happens if you didn't run the setup.bat file or something went wrong in the setup process. Anyway the game works perfectly although it has some insanely high sys requirements.

If anyone has a problem when you try to play anything and when you enter the campaign or a skirmish game (just go to the LAN network servers and make a game)and the game freezes up. try doing the list of things that the uploader said to do: 1. Delete all extracted files 2. go to start and then go to run. type msconfig 3.Go to services and check "Hide all microsoft services" and uncheck all the services. 4.Then go to startup and uncheck all of them to. 5.Restart your computer and then run the Setup. It should work fine. (It worked for me)

At zax90. No it shouldn't. the msconfig just stops the unnecessary programs from starting up when you boot your computer. When your done you could just reactivate all of the services and startup programs but I like everything off so then my games run faster and other things. I would just activate your firewall and anti virus stuff if you want to go on the internet just to be safe.

There is either something wrong with my pc or my download. Cuz' when I try to extract everything in the rar just by draggin' and droppin', I get a ****load of extraction errors. So I just extracted every file manually one at a time. But when that was finished something went wrong with the rebuilding of the game. It was only saying " Rebuilding game - Please wait, this can take a while" for 1 hour . Is that right? I have done as Zax90 said but it still doesn´t work.. Please help.

at vayven10. I don't know any multiplayer serial code but you might be able to either be lucky and find some sort of keygen or maybe just buy a list of multiplayer serials for the game.

To update to patch v1.009: First, do all the necessary steps to install v1.000. In the World in Conflict\#readme# folder, right click on the wic.reg file and select edit. Change the entries from E:\\Games to wherever you extracted your "World in Conflict" folder. For instance, I changed the original lines to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Massive Entertainment AB\World in Conflict] "InstallExePath"="C:\\Program Files\\World in Conflict\\wic.exe" and so on, because I put the folder World in Conflict in C:\Program Files. Note the two backslashes when editing the file. Then, close and save the file and double click it, and select Yes to merging the files with the registry.

You can now proceed with the v1.009 patch. After that, backup the original three .exes in your World in Conflict folder (wic.exe, wic_ds.exe and wic_online.exe) and then go to gamecopyworld and grab the v1.009 no-dvd/fixed-exe file (about 19.5 mb) and copy those over the original .exe files. Click on wic.exe to play.

Hello, I am having issues with getting the game running. I extracted sucessfully. I then ran the setup bat file and all 4 out of 4 files were loaded. It said then to press any button to proceed. The Setup button has now gone and is replaced with the file wic.exe!. The only problem is that I cant open this file. My computer does understand what kind of file it is, or what program to open it. What is my next step to get this game working??? Please help.

Just extract, run the setup and get playing Only problem is that the multiplayer needs an original key, which one cannot get unless the game is bought (correct me if I'm wrong?), so multiplayer cannot be played From the torrents point of view everything works perfectly - so simple too The game is pretty good too :p

Hi Guys i got the same prob as question 43. I already tried installing it 7 times and failed. I'm using Windows vista and went over the instruction but same old problem. I'm using 7-zip to extract the file. Then run setup.bat file and get precomp error 4 times but it still goes through. When i click on wie.exe i get the error that file cannot be located. Can someone pls help me? i'm sure some of you already solved this puzzle.

For people who "cant locate the file" did u already RUN the setup.bat? if you did, see if the wicloc11.sdf and wicloc12.sdf are in the game directory. if they aren't extract the files again and make sure those files are there

in answer to number 41. yeah u can get 1.009 from gamecopyworld. however if u want to use like a +13 trainer on it i would reccommend 1.007 instead. the 1.009 trainer is only a promo trainer and is kinda ****py cuz of that. also u might have to edit the registration entries to properly patch the game. i had to and it worked just fine after that.
