You'll notice with daily and colbert torrents the download speed is much slower than with most torrents that have a similar amount of seeds and peers. I can't prove it, but I assume Viacom is paying someone like MediaDefender to do their best to slow these torrents down. And for what it's worth, they are somewhat effective. Considering how many people join these swarms everyday, I would expect to download these 175 MB torrents in 2 minutes. But they're slower. (usually) Take a half hour or more sometimes. That's a BIG difference in terms of convenience. Enough to even make people tolerate commercials. -t

Don't know why Peer Gard blocks it but I think it's the Denis Stalker tracker - also - I get (regularly) 500 to 1000 Bps transfer on these and they do take 5 to 10 mins to dowload. Check your modem / Pnp / router settings.

Also, that last comment about how MediaDefender is makeing a difference is a load! That poster sounds like a MD Chode trying to justify the money they're getting paid! "Look Viacom, see - this 9alfred7 guy thinks what we do is working" meanwhile - he's really 9alfred7!

Yeah, I work for MediaDefender. Wow a 1000 Bytes per second? (wouldn't that take a couple of days?) Though if you mean KBs, that's faster than I can get. Usually starts slow, gradually crawling up to about around 200 KBps. (Though sometimes they're faster.) Daily and Colbert on a private tracker will fly of course, and (in the States anyway) non-private similar torrents (with similar seed and peer numbers) tend to be way faster. -t
