I'm having trouble getting this to work. I've mounted the files using daemon, installed them all and downloaded the update. Problem is when I try to actually play the game it asks to enter the play disk, and mounting any of the CDs doesn't work. Anyone

Ok problem, and believe me, i know when there is a problem. When i try to enter the Schyluk Cave on Korriban, the game quits on me during the loading screen. It hasn't happened anywhere else. It just quits immediately, no freezing, no anything.

Thanks. This torrent worked perfectly for me, here's what I did: Mounted the .cue file in PowerIso and installed, once it asked for the next CD I mounted the next one and clicked okay. Once the game was fully installed, I went to update - which didn't work, so I found the patch manually. Which I found here: http://www.lucasarts.com/support/update/kotor2.html There' already a No CD patch included with this ISO, you want to take the .exe from the 1.02b folder (NOT the crack folder on the iso's) and overwrite it in the SWKotor2 file in program files. There you go, everything works fine for me. The only error I've gotten so far is on the Peragaus Mining Station, right when you go to use the administrator terminal - so save your game right before that, sometimes it crashes it and sometimes it doesn't.

I burned all 4 disks and get the same error message after A Galaxy FAR AWAY...... i tried it on my desktop and laptop. i think the files maybe corrupt cuz i tried using an older patch and didn't receive the message. instead my comp froze in a black screen but i was able to hear the sound loading fine. its not my graphics cuz i can run jedi academy just fine. if any1 knows a way to tweak the files so it works let me know.

Dudes I hate to say it but knotor NEVER seems to work for computers, every one has trouble with them. Never actually got the game to work on any of my computers even with the store bought disk

Rinks BTW you mind if i edited your tutorial!? Recommended steps to play this game for Windows Vista users: 1) Make sure your video card and direct X is updated. I do not offer video card support so check with your video cards manufacturer website to find one. 2) Get yourself either Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools. I don't care which one, which version, or where you get it from. Google it if you don't know what they are. 3) Mount the image (see the help contents for Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools if you don't know what this means) and if autorun doesn't initiate, then go to "My Computer" and right click on the drive that KOTOR2 is in. Once the menu comes up, click explore and then double click on the "setup" file. 4) Install the game. When it asks to change CDs, unmount the current CD (through Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools) and then mount the next one and click "OK" in the dialog box to continue. 5) Once the game is installed, go to the website that wmpr specified (http://www.lucasarts.com/support/update/kotor2.html) and download the patch. Once its downloaded, install the patch. DO NOT USE THE CRACK THAT IS IN THE DISK 1 ISO FILE. DO NOT USE ANY CRACK UNTIL YOU UPDATE FIRST. 6) After a successful update, copy the crack that is included with the torrent files (should be in the same location in which the CDs are located), right click, copy, and then go to the KOTOR2 install folder and paste the file. Copy and replace when windows asks you to. 7) Not done yet. Right click on the swkotor.exe file and click properties. Oh whoops, should have specified more. When you mount the CUE file, it will open and you just click "autostart.exe" and everything works fine. People should know what they're doing before they flag something.

I then tried to replace the mss32.dll file with the one from the KOTOR1 directory and that still didn't work. I have Vista by the way. It always gives me the same "KOTORII has stopped working" message.

open the config file and type in under Game Options EnableCheats=1 than press your ` key to type them in. i cant seem to get past the peragus part. I get to the turbo laser, take out all the gaurds, and than the dude says lets go and...i just sit there and wait and wait and wait....Or ill let one of the sith troops board the Ebon hawk....i kill em, than the screen goes black....i can still hear myself fire and i can still hear the troops firing back...anyone know a fix???

I get to the turbo laser, take out all the gaurds, and than the dude says lets go and...i just sit there and wait and wait and wait....Or ill let one of the sith troops board the Ebon hawk....i kill em, than the screen goes black....i can still hear myself fire and i can still hear the troops firing back...anyone know a fix???

How do you install the program?? i have burned all 4 disks, and all four read just fine, but when i run the install program I get an error message code that forces the installer to close. how do you install this game?? please help me, thanks!

Use either Daemon tools or Poweriso ( i suggest poweriso) to mount the images, it saves you 4 disks, and its a lot easier

I've downloaded the game fine and i've updated everything etc.. but when i try and play it says my video card is out of date (when its not), it says i have windows xp sp2 (when i have windows vista) it says i have 2 gig ram (although thats not the problem, i have 3 gig) and it wont play due do this video card thing. k, the game is up and running, the play disk is mounted. but when im done creating my character and it shows the introduction movie with the "A long time ago bla blah blah", right after it crashes and it gives me the gay error report thingy

I am also having trouble with this game. It wasn't working at first. It was crashing before the game even launched. So I tried the patch wmpr posted and used the crack provided in the torrent and the game actually started up. I went through character customization and started it and then as soon as the "In a galaxy far far away" movie ended the game crashed. I did it again and the same thing happened. So I thought okay maybe it's a problem that's happening right at that point in the game. So I downloaded a game save from 11 minutes into the game still on the Ebon Hawk. I tried to load it and the game still crashed before it loaded. So I think what's going on here is that my computer is able to play the movies but isn't actually able to play the game. If anybody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

ok so i tried overwriting the .exe from the 1.02b folder but it doesnt even ask if i want to overwrite. it just says that windows couldnt make a shortcut there and asks if i want a shortcut on my desktop. any solutions?
